There hasn't been a "fair and square" election since 2000, until 2020. Republicans have been working overtime on voter suppression, gerrymandering to reduce voter turnout by Democratic voters, for the past two decades.

As soon as they allowed part of the Voting Rights Act to expire, and the Supreme Court overturned the sections about federal approval on changes to the manner in which they run elections, Republican held states have openly suppresses the voting, gerrymandered shamelessly, and tried to institute a special "voter ID" so they can control who gets one.

By 2018, the Democrats needed to win 57% of the vote to take the House, because of the gerrymandering. That's despite Obama and Holder working tirelessly to get petitions signed to take states to court over the gerrymandering, resulting in several states having to redraw their maps before the 2020 election.

Of course all of that work is coming undone as Texas and other states are redrawing their maps.

What exactly IS "voter suppression?"

Voter suppression is the act of interfering with democrat efforts to cheat, rig, tamper with, corrupt, and "fix" elections.

Provide us a SINGLE verified example of "voter suppression?" Y'all Nazis call asking for ID "suppression," though asking for ID to board a plane is fine, asking for vaccine passports to enter a court is fine.

The greatest danger to democracy right now has emerged in one of our two major parties — a longstanding party that helped to protect democracy until recently, and this makes it hard for people to recognize what is going on. Finally, I think that most Americans now see politics through very partisan lenses and are mostly attentive to how their “team” is doing; they are much less likely to be thinking about the health of the basic pillars of democracy, e.g. electoral integrity, the rule of law, the legitimacy of the opposition, and the integrity of rights. Our political system is in crisis and we should be shouting from the rooftops about it and coming together to save it.
