Debunking the Biden-Ukraine conspiracy theory

What the fuck is that supposed to mean?

It is illegal because Hunter is selling his father's influence in the government. Hist father is doing favors for his employer, and he is getting paid for it..
the look is bad, but that is all there is evidence for. Your claim has no evidence of fact.
If Biden was a famous actor, Burisma wouldn' tpay him a dime. He gets paid only becuase his father can do things like getting a prosecutor fired.

Just like Jared, as senior white house staff got a $25,000,000 1.25% management fee of a $2,000,000,000 payment for a dubious investment fund because his father-in-law was president, paid by murderous Mohammed Bin Salman.

Hunter is a private citizen, and there ZERO evidence any action by him had any impact on foreign policy.

Looking bad doesn't get you an indictment.

But you don't give a fuck about real corruption, you hypocrite.

"Evidence and facts" from a roster of the left's biggest fluffers.

Piss off, moonbat.

When an opponent fails to provide evidence from credible sources, the opponent's act is surrender.

Your surrender is accepted. Thank you for your participation.

I suspect this has been beaten to death, but, of late, I still see a number on the right on this forum promulgating the lie that Biden's withholding of loan guarantees to Ukraine was an attempt to prevent the investigation of Burisma, given that Hunter Biden was on the board.

At issue is this video, (link below) which many on the right falsely believe supports this conspiracy theory. But, context is missing. However, even without the context, there is nothing in the video that supports the claim.

I've seen that video a number of times. There is ZERO evidence the video proves that objective had anything to do with Biden attempting to thwart investigation into Burisma. In fact, the evidence proves the OPPOSITE.

Here are the multiple sourced FACTS.

ā€œā€œThe United States, the European Union, the I.M.F., and Ukraineā€™s leading reform figures were all pressing for Viktor Shokin to be removed from office because he was one of the biggest obstacles to fighting corruption in the entire country. This was a bipartisan goal in Congress as well.ā€

The withholding of loan guarantees spoken of by Biden in that video was the incentive to get the Poroshenko/Ukrainian Parliament to fire Shokin, the corrupt Ukraine prosecutor, which was the foreign policy of the United States, and the International Monetary Fund with the approval of Democrat and Senate Republicans, at that time.

Why? Because Obama was wary of providing military support to Ukraine, at the time, given the massive corruption in the Country, and SHOKIN was NOT doing his job to fight corruption and naturally Obama didn't want taxpayer funds misappropriated in a corrupt country.

That is precisely the OPPOSITE of the claim.

What, do you (who believe the conspiracy theory) think a man with 30 years in the Senate would be stupid enough to admit to a federal crime on television? If you do, you are unaware of the facts and haven't thought it through.

ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bidenā€“Ukraine_conspiracy_theory

The conspiracy theory alleges that then-Vice President Biden withheld loan guarantees to pressure Ukraine into firing a prosecutor to prevent a corruption investigation into Burisma and to protect his son. The United States did withhold government aid to pressure Ukraine into removing the prosecutor, in accord with the official and bipartisan policy of the federal government of the United States. The US government, along with the European Union, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, believed the prosecutor to be corrupt and ineffective and too lenient in investigating companies and oligarchs, including Burisma and its owner. A January 2018 video shows Biden taking credit for withholding the loan guarantees to have the prosecutor fired, acting to implement bipartisan US policy rather than for the reasons the conspiracy theory alleges.

Donald Trump said Ukraineā€™s former chief prosecutor was an honest, wronged man, fired after Joe Biden tried to shut down an investigation into his sonā€™s gas company. In Kiev, Oliver Carroll speaks to people who know Viktor Shokin, and finds a different story

Republicans wanted Shokin removed, as well:

(Even the GOP chairman of the Homeland Security Committee which spearheaded this report, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, backed the effort to remove Shokin, saying the ā€œwhole worldā€ agreed he wasnā€™t doing a good job.)

(Even the GOP chairman of the Homeland Security Committee which spearheaded this report, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, backed the effort to remove Shokin, saying the ā€œwhole worldā€ agreed he wasnā€™t doing a good job.)

April 21, 2014: Biden, then vice president, visited Ukraineā€™s capital, Kiev, in a show of support for the countryā€™s government amid rising tensions with Russia.

May 13, 2014: Burisma Group, a private company that has drilled for natural gas in Ukraine since 2002, announced that Hunter Biden would be joining its board. Around that time, Burismaā€™s founder, a former government official named Mykola Zlochevsky, was under investigation for alleged money laundering by Britainā€™s Serious Fraud Office.

Dec. 8, 2015: Biden visited Kiev again and spoke out against bureaucratic corruption that he said was eating Ukraine ā€œlike a cancer.ā€ Biden threatened to withhold loan guarantees unless Ukraineā€™s top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who had been widely accused of corruption, was removed.

Shokin had investigated Burisma but the probe was dormant at the time Biden pushed for the prosecutorā€™s termination, Bloomberg reported earlier this year, citing a former Ukrainian official.

March 29, 2016: The Ukrainian Parliament voted to remove Shokin.

Jan. 23, 2018: Biden, at a Council on Foreign Relations event, detailed how he had threatened to withhold funds from Ukraine if Shokin was not removed.

April 2019: Hunter Bidenā€™s term as a Burisma board member expired and he stepped down from the company.

May 16, 2019: Bloomberg quotes Ukraineā€™s current top prosecutor as saying he had no evidence of wrongdoing by Hunter Biden or his father.

Biden is guilty of offering Ukraine a quid quo pro. Get rid of the prosecutor or lose the loan guarantees. They tried to impeach and remove Trump for the same thing with asking Ukraine for a favor.

Jared was not on the White House staff at the time, and where is your link?

Your math also sucks ass, which is why you don't have a link. 1.25% of $25 million is only about $312,500.

You got caught lying again!

OP seems hasn't a clue about Hunter's Metabiota in Ukraine or Obama's link to the Lugar Research Center, a US-funded bioweapons lab. So we doubt that any of the USMB prisoners can pass a pop-quiz about Metabiota's historical use of xylazine, the current rage chemistry with which to lace Chinese-Mexican fentanyl.

JoeXi Biden's going to court, too: RFK Jr. has just filed a class-action lawsuit against him.

You're the one who failed to cite any credible sources, Gomer Pyle.

Never mind the interview from one of the family's main wheeler-dealers.

I repeat: Piss off, moonbat.

Biden is guilty of offering Ukraine a quid quo pro. Get rid of the prosecutor or lose the loan guarantees. They tried to impeach and remove Trump for the same thing with asking Ukraine for a favor.
That is absolutely false. A quid pro quo suggests Biden got something personally in return, which he did not. He was doing what is known as diplomacy but using hardball tactics, all for the benefit of the United States not himself, personally.

Trump, on the other hand, withheld congressionally appropriated funds in an attempt to get Zelensky to announce that Biden was being investigated in Ukraine clearly for the purpose of benefitting Trump's campaign, which is an abuse of power.

Nonsense.
Clearly Joe Biden admitted getting Shokin fired, that is a crime, and the ONLY reason he did it was to illegal stop Burisma Holdings investigations.
The fact a Ukraine prosecutor would say something is totally and completely irrelevant.

That is absolutely false. A quid pro quo suggests Biden got something personally in return, which he did not. He was doing what is known as diplomacy but using hardball tactics, all for the benefit of the United States not himself, personally.

That is just a lie, since we know Hunter Biden got millions in return, and that obviously does benefit Joe.

And it is a lie to claim Trump "withheld" anything.
Nor did Trump ever ask for ANYTHING to be "announced".
You are just lying.

Clearly NOT investigating Burisma Holdings is criminal.

Nonsense.
Clearly Joe Biden admitted getting Shokin fired, that is a crime,
You have no idea what you are talking about. Pressuring countries to implement foreign policy is not a crime, and is a common tactic. It's called 'leverage'.
and the ONLY reason he did it was to illegal stop Burisma Holdings investigations.
I provided evidence to the contrary. You are ignoring it, which means you are ignorant.
The fact a Ukraine prosecutor would say something is totally and completely irrelevant.
He was fired, he's disgruntled. who the fuck cares what he says.

That is just a lie, since we know Hunter Biden got millions in return,
No, you have no evidence to that claim.
and that obviously does benefit Joe.
Since your first claim is bogus, any claim dependent on it is also bogus.
And it is a lie to claim Trump "withheld" anything.
Trump wanted to withhold sending supplies to Ukraine in exchange for Zelensky's assistance in helping Trump investigate Biden. That is abuse of power. It's clear in the phone call, and testimonies of close associates.
Nor did Trump ever ask for ANYTHING to be "announced".
Clearly he wanted Zelensky to investigate Biden in exchange for the aid US was giving them.
You are just lying.
Nope.
Clearly NOT investigating Burisma Holdings is criminal.

That was the reason Biden got Shokin fired, because Shokin wasn't doing his job and investigating corruption.

Pure bullshit.

Loan Guarantees: The United States, along with other international entities, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), were concerned about corruption in Ukraine. The U.S., under the Obama administration, did threaten to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees if Ukraine did not take sufficient steps to address corruption issues. This position was supported by many Western governments and organizations.

Concerns about Viktor Shokin: There were widespread concerns among Western officials, including the U.S. government, about Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin's failure to adequately address corruption in Ukraine. These concerns were not limited to Joe Biden but were shared by various officials, including European Union representatives.

Hunter Biden's involvement: While Hunter Biden did serve on the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company, there is no credible evidence to support the claim that his position was a result of any wrongdoing or influence by his father. Multiple investigations have not found any evidence of illegal activity or misconduct on the part of Hunter Biden.

International consensus: The push for the removal of Viktor Shokin was not solely driven by Joe Biden or the United States. It was part of a broader international effort, supported by the IMF, the European Union, and other Western countries, who saw Shokin as obstructing anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine.

Official explanations: Both Joe Biden and various Ukrainian officials, including former President Petro Poroshenko, have stated that the decision to remove Viktor Shokin was based on his failure to tackle corruption effectively, rather than any personal or political gain.

And it is a lie to claim Trump "withheld" anything.
Given the congressional grants of military supplies to Ukraine, Trump wanted Zelensky to investigate Biden to help Trump with his campaign as a quid pro quo. Even if there is no 'withhold' threat explicit, what remains in the phone call is still an abuse of power.
Clearly NOT investigating Burisma Holdings is criminal.

Among the reasons Biden threatened to withhold loan guarantees ot Ukraine, because Shokin wasn't investigating corruption, which, by default, includes Burisma.

Another right wing conspiracy theory, utterly destroyed.
