The level and accuracy of questioning should be judged by the follow up questions.....and so far, both Fox and CNN somewhat sucked.
Here's my humble take on tonight's flaws by low level questioners:
1. Questions are often raised about illegal immigration, and the consensus is that what draws illegals here is work....especially in the agricultural arenas......That stated, the other set of questions concerned the raising of the minimum wage.
Now, you have idiots like Walker who states that raising the minimum wage is the wrong way to go , and that better education would solve the problem better....
A good questioner should then simply ask: "So, WHO would pick the lettuce and gravest the apples?"
2. Questions also arose about the "bad" decision by Obama to pull our troops out of Iraq, creating the void that ushered in ISIL.....Sound good as far as rhetoric is concerned...but,
A good questioner should have asked, WHO created a void in Iraq in the first place.....WHO signed a deal to pull out of Iraq by a certain date.....and WHY are we planning to oust yet another secular leader in Syria.........(with the exception of Rand Paul, the other nitwits could NOT have answered these latter questions).
3. The answers to the questions regarding the overbearing by the federal government were trumpeted (pardon the expression) by virtually all that state rights.....according to the 10th Amendment....should be honored.......but
Again with the exception of Paul, questioners should have pointed out the hypocrisy when it came to Colorado's cannabis laws, where the rest of the candidates wanted to send in federal marshals to impose federal law.
Bottom line: questioners simply read what some others(producers, mostly) have written for them......and the days of Morrow, Reasoner, and Cronkite are long passed.
