Thats where I am on this.
Its perfectly acceptable to defend your property, if its being stolen or something. But the state killing people for stealing is something else.

What do you do with people that are unfit to live in society, care for them until they die of old age? That's $50,000 per year coming out of working folks' pockets. There are enough hands in our pockets as it is.

A lot of them actually have jobs. Many receive SSI benefits which are paid by SS. Many are cared for by their families. Thieves and fraudsters have few redeeming qualities that we should care for them.

Of course, the best plan would be for people to not steal from others. Work is fun and you actually get paid for doing it.
