Perhaps this happened on your planet, but not here on Earth. The US did not invade another country kill its people and destroy its cities and attempt to take over its government because it made an alliance with the USSR even in the darkest days of the Cold War. The worst misadventures of the CIA in those days pale to insignificance when compared to the massive atrocities being committed in Ukraine today by Russia.

Pull your head out of your ass once in a while and take a look at the real world.

A ridiculous point. The Cuban missile Sended Khrushchev's political career and made Kennedy a hero, so at least in terms of politics, it was a US win. There are still 50 NATO nuclear missiles in Turkey and there is no evidence of Russian nuclear missiles in Cuba.

Surprisingly, Biden is a tough guy on this issue, even if he is a pussy on Iran. He has increased the strength and cohesiveness of NATO, ended the constant French and German griping about forming an all European defense force without the US and put the Russian economy on life support; see

There is no rational basis for believing the US has made any secret deal with Russia about Ukraine joining NATO.

1. The Cuban Missile Crisis did not end Khrushchev's political career. He was replaced by the Presidium and Central Committee in 1964 due to his age (70) and circumvention of local Communist Party authority. Foreign policy issues were not a factor in his removal because the Party leadership agreed with his policies.
2. Kennedy's political "win" was a media invention just like his "heroic" loss of his PT boat in WW2. He SECRETLY agreed to remove US nuclear missiles from Turkey, which was completed six months later. Even today, there are no NUCLEAR MISSILES in Turkey. However, there are about 50 tactical warheads stored at Incirlik Airbase in Turkey.
3. UNsurprisingly, Biden is playing the same "tough guy" game as JFK did, in order to distract the public from his ineptitude. (JFK went to Dallas the next year to shore up his sagging support in Texas.)
4. Of course no secret deal has been made YET, because the war game in Ukraine is still being played.

To think that JFK prevented the USSR from placing nuclear ballistic missiles 90 miles from the United States, solely for political reasons, is nonsense. Situations like the Cuban Missile Crisis are every president's worst nightmare. High risk situation with very little to gain - especially if things do not go your way.

As far as the War in Ukraine - Biden has little or nothing to gain from it. If some sort of treaty is reached to end the war, it will be credited to Ukraine and likely Zelensky. Not much to gain politically for Biden, tbh.

i will add on to this excellent post that it was a good thing we had the bay of pigs invasion because kennedy after that learned to not listen to the brass in the military.the CIA lied to kennedy about the invasion knowing full well it would fail,they withheld critical details from him knowing it would fail,they wanted to trick him into invading after he was adamant about not doing so as he told them.

he fired allen dulles after the aby of pigs after he lied to him about the details of the invasion and then started listening to his aides instead of the military brass for advise which was critical in avoing confllict with them. lik you said so well,that is totally rediculous that he wanted to look like a tough guy.
