Translation most of the Democrats who were cheering this movement on a year ago have discovered it’s not polling well with voters now and have changed their tune. Not unique to politics or the just the Democrats but it is predictable and it is not something AOC, Cori Bush and the rest of their squad mates have come around on and they do have influence in the party and will keep pushing for defunding the police very loudly and in public.
