A few years ago, I was bored. So the idea popped into my head about WHY cops don't care about the law, much less know any of them, and are more goons and thugs than anything else.
So, I wondered WHO to call to find out and get some plausible answers. Lawyers. Well established lawyers, not ambulance chasers. So I got online and started looking for 5 star rated attorneys, and started making phone calls.
The first two lawyers I spoke with are from different lawfirms, and I told them I was doing some private research and it was all anonymous. They both told me the exact same thing, even though they were from different lawfirms in different parts of the city.
These two lawyers were retired law professors that went into practice after they retired from their college jobs.
They both pretty much told me the exact same thing.........after WW2 the government feared for an underlying criminal element coming from other countries and setting up shop in this country, that they gave "carte blanche" to the police to deal with these anti-American terrorists any way they want. As long as they got rid of them, as the government did NOT want to deal with another war.
So the police were given the extra responsibility of keeping American people safe, by weeding out anybody who would come over to this country in order to set up shop to destroy us. But.......as with all powers given out.........they became greedy, big headed, narcissistic, and criminal. The police in this country became so heinously criminal, they turned on themselves, and now if you are any kind of truly honest human being who wants to be a cop to actually protect people, they will harass you and torment you until you turn to the dark side, quit, or they kill you. Some of these honest cops have the stamina to deal with it and stick it out until they become leaders themselves, but its a rarity.
The other lawyers I spoke with told me they're all nothing more than political goon squads and hitmen for the oligarchy. And on the off chance a really honest person gets a job as a cop in order to help people, they soon learn they will either have to join the criminal organization or end up literally fighting for their lives.
Take this as you will, but thats my personal research in a nutshell on why there are no good cops and they are all truly lazy criminals. And the few that are not, and have been cops for years, have my full support. Because I've personally met people who became cops to help people and left the organization because of the fear for their lives because they didn't want to turn evil and become a politicians goon.

Cowards?... they just want to go home to their family each day... when you need one and they show up in time maybe you will feel some shame for your attitude...

I called 911 to report an assault in progress. The cop that showed up engaged in a criminal conspiracy with my attacker, resulting in my being beaten unconscious and thrown down a flight of stairs, with several cracked ribs, a concussion, and quite possibly a skull fracture.
I personally know someone whose life was ruined after he reported a cop for stealing a toolbox from his truck.
A cop raped my wife.

No, my father was using me as a punching bag. He knew the cop.
It happened long before I knew her and I didn't know until we'd been married almost fifteen years. AFAIK, it was not reported.

You said the cop conspired with your attacker... why did you leave out that it was your old man?... seems like BS to me... domestic assaults back in the day did not warrant an arrest every time... don't pin it on that cop... what did you do to piss your dad off?...
