Cool speech...JFK and the moon

I heard this for the first time yesterday and never realized that JFK was instrumental in the moonwalk. Great speech, I especially liked the bit about how when we got to the moon it wouldn't just be those astronauts that did it but it would be all of us Americans.

Sigh, they don't make 'em like that anymore.

Yes...I heard this on the silliest NPR show yesterday. But listening to Kennedy talking to Congress and Nixon talking to the astronauts sent goosebumps up my legs.

Sometimes I almost like Nixon.

If it weren't for JFK, we probably would of never had gotten to the moon by 1969.

Nixon had an interesting Liberal streak at times. It all depended on the polls at the time and whatever would best get him reelected.
