Did Göbekli Tepe reveal evidence of writing thousands of years before Sumerian civilization?
It certainly could be a seal.

Writing at the earliest form was nothing more than a basic accounting system. Essentially showing how much of something was on hand and how much was needed.

Even "illiterate" pre-Columbian cultures often had systems like that, but most of them were not "writing" yet.
