Air traffic is so safe that we take it for granted. We forget that millions of flights transpire every year over Asia & Eastern Europe, thus when three of them go down over a period of more than a year, it's an exceptional happening. It really isn't, and it really doesn't put much of a dent in the odds that any of us or anybody we know would ever die on a commercial airliner. It's just been a bit of a rough year for Asia, that's all.
