"Cause of death: Not conserving anything."
Here is a brilliant speech on why conservatism is dead, and why conservatives failed conserving anything. The speaker is an Amazon best seller, the author of classics such as "Cuckservative" as well as "Why SJWs Always Lie".
Conservatives need to watch it on repeat (until 34:00). The speech will be only available for the next day or two.
Highlights:
- If what you believe in is Western civilization, you need to stand up behind it, and against its enemies. Conservatives stand for nothing.
- Conservatives lie about immigration, which historically equals war.
- Conservatives lie about race.
- Conservatives lie to themselves.
- Communism conserves a nation better than conservatism.
- There is no happy ending to the conservative failure, and even liberals (such as Sam Harris) know what is coming by now. Will you continue to be ignorant?
Highly recommended for those who wonder how we ended up in the current predicament.
Conservatism means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. I'm not sure you can find an all inclusive definition, especially among the political whores of today. Liberalism is the same in this respect.
I've concluded that the issue is collectivism. Over the millennia mankind has decided they want a human king to rule over them, so as we scroll through the pages of history, we see example after example of this type of rule, and with it the abuses that come from it. In fact, the great majority of men who have walked the earth have either been a slave or died in some inane war prompted by these kings who seek power and wealth. But then came Moses. Here we have for the first time in history, somewhat of a successful stand against such tyranny. Here we had a man, who in the name of God, sought to release his people from 400 years of slavery. And yes, those same people allowed slavery within its own camps later on, but it was a definite improvement from where they had been. Slavery within the Hebrew nation was more of a means for survival, so that those down and out could survive for a while who did not have family or tribes to help them. But even though they were slaves, Moses instituted a day of rest for them and for everyone, something unheard of in the ancient world who worked as slaves 24/7. This is why we have our weekends today. And those same slaves in the Hebrew nation were freed every 7 years, so they could start afresh. But as this Hebrew nation obtained the promised land, they had no human king. All they had were a group of judges to try and maintain the peace, again, something unheard of in the ancient world up to that point. But the people began to look around at the other nations, and wanted to become like them. So they clamored for a king. So the prophet Samuel went before God to inquire and God told Samuel that they were rejecting him as king, and told him to tell the people that they can have what they want, provided they know the long list of abuses that would follow under a sinful man who would be their king. So Samuel told the people of the terrible things that would happen to them if they continued to insist for a human king, but they refused to heed the warnings, so they were given king Saul. From there, it was a spiral downward as only two kings later the nation divided and later Assyria and Babylon finished the entire nation off as the wicked kings of both the northern and southern Hebrew kingdoms spiraled the nation down the drain. Next thing they knew they were in the ovens of Nazi Germany. And yes friends, these were SOCIALIST ovens. You can read all this in 1 Samuel 8.
So today, we have the same problem as the Hebrew nation had desiring a king to rule over them as we see the Executive Branch morphed into becoming like our king, but this is only human nature. We were wired to have God as our king, but if that God is rejected, which the general world rejects him and will continue to do so, a human counterpart will be chosen every single time. The vacuum will be filled by something. But I'm not the first to see this connection. Thomas Pain in his pamphlet "Common Sense" that sparked an American revolution also commented on this to create an argument to overthrow the king of England. I was pleasantly surprised to see this connection made by him as well when I read it. But let's look at what happened after the Revolution. The Founding Fathers, the same ones that had just risked their very lives to overthrow a despot, then inexplicably passed the Alien and Sedition Acts which made it illegal to speak out against the state. Thomas Jefferson blew a gasket and demanded they be repealed, which prompted him to become the third President. Interestingly though, before doing away with the Alien and Sedition Act, he took full advantage of the Alien and Sedition Acts as he used them against his political opponents. But not all of the acts were done away with. What was left FDR used to lock away innocent Japanese Americans during WW2. So as we can see, even Jefferson changed when putting on the ring of power. Power changes you, it corrupts you, and the more you have of it the worse your fate will be in relation to this corruption. The nation would have been a much darker place though without the efforts of Jefferson, whom I see as America's greatest President.
But the Founding Fathers knew this about human nature, which is why they tried to come up with an idea of a limited government with checks and balances and Federalism to spread power abroad. First they came up with the Articles of Confederation, but many clamored that it did not empower the Federal government enough for the nation to be cohesive and survive, so they came up with the Constitution which empowered the government much more. But over time this power increased as Lincoln trampled over state rights and then we had the death blow to those who sought to fight centralized power and the abuses that would follow, the Progressive era. Before the turn of the 20th century, Progressives tried to initiate an income tax which would be the little engine that made the Federal government so powerful today, but it was struck down by the Supreme Court as Unconstitutional. So a few years later, Progressive simply added it to the Constitution. But it was not that easy at first. For you see, many conservatives did not support the Federal government becoming so powerful with a Federal Income tax provision, so Progressive appealed to them with the idea of Prohibition. Conservative Christians were appalled at the carnage alcohol was having upon society. Even today, alcoholism is the one drug that kills the most people, but back then it was in epidemic proportions. Progressives then hatched a plan knowing conservative Christians wanted to stop the rampant alcoholism that was destroying society, so they told them that the taxes for alcohol was the one source of money that enabled the Federal government to function. Moreover, they would like to ban all alcohol, but the problem is that the federal government would have no money to function. So they appealed to their Christian humanity to help these people by first creating a federal income tax to replace the revenue from alcohol that enables the government to exist so that they could do away with alcohol and its revenue. They then had enough votes to proceed.
But as alcohol was banned, the effort to enforce Prohibition was subpar at best. It was even less than the effort to thwart illegal drugs in society today. Congressmen were even having bootleggers come directly to the halls of Congress to sell them alcohol. So after a token stand to enforce Prohibition was let to fail, they declared it unworkable and repealed the Amendment to ban alcohol. That meant that the revenue from those alcohol sales again went to the Federal government, so the whole scheme of Prohibition by Progressives doubled their revenue, which was the plan all along. The state then brazenly, not only allowed alcohol to be sold, but created state liquor stores to sell it directly to te populace that dies from it more than any other drug to this day. The bonus was that conservative Christians were blamed for Prohibition and its inevitable failure, not Progressives.
So these are the types of schemes conservative Christians are up against. But more to the point, Conservative Christians are up against the fact that the world and world system, is diametrically opposed to God and rejects him, so they will inevitably choose a human king that will abuse them to the point of destruction. But how can this be stopped? Theocracy has shown us over the years, that this fails as well. For you see, all human kings are flawed and prone to abuse others. Constantine erected a Catholic church with a Pope that more or less became a dictator ruling Europe, but with it the inevitable abuses of man, Inquisitions, Crusades, and a persecution of the Jewish people in Europe that lasted centuries, and climaxed with the Holocaust. But thanks to Martin Luther and the Gutenberg press, people began to read the scriptures for themselves and saw how the Catholic church was heretical, as Christian theocracy fell apart. However, in places like England, the state and church were still one, which is something the Founding Fathers were equally appalled by and took steps to prevent it in the US.
The ONLY reason American remained as free as it was when the Republic was first hatched, is that America was settled by people seeking religious freedom coupled with a state that did not demand it. That meant that such a people were seeking to be a moral people. This had nothing to do with efforts from the state. But only a moral people can be a free people. If society had the morality of a prison full of convicts, such freedom would create anarchy and an uncivil society. For an amoral populace, all that can be done to maintain civility is to build a wall around them and hire a warden to watch them. And as we see society in the US become increasingly secular, we see how an amoral people are abusing their freedoms to where the state needs to pass increase about 40,.000 new regulations and laws every year now to keep it civil. But the problem is, with each law passed to combat the immortality of society, freedom wanes to the point that we live in a police state. Ben Franklin had the same epiphany in his address regarding the Constitution stating that the Constitution can only last a number of years until the morality of the people waned which would prompt a despot to rise up to keep civility and order. For Franklin, it was not a matter of if but when. All that could be done is provide a speed bump from tyranny because he was so well educated about human nature.
So how does one promote the morality of a society without a theocracy? That is the $64 question. But as I have alluded to, it is pure folly. All that can be done is for each man to regulate his own moral behavior, so that the state will not be forced to do it for them, and hopefully the number of such people make it possible for society to function with some level of freedom.
