...kind of ridiculous you won't give him credit for ANYTHING positive?

1) He appointed a bi-partisan cabinet.

2) He gave the order to raid bin Laden's compound.

3) He extended the Bush tax cuts and is responsible for the biggest tax cut for the middle class since Reagan.

4) 2.5x more private sector jobs have been created in his 5 years than all of Bush's 8.

I know a lot of you are gonna say it was Bush's policies that led to bin Laden blah blah blah but you know damn well if it was a republican president that had given that order, you'd all be jizzing in your pants over it. In fact if a republican president had been responsible for any of the things above, you would not stop gloating about it. But no, it was a democrat that did all those things above so you minimize them.

I mean my god, you can dislike a president overall and still give him credit for the things he has done right.

Odd thing. The other day I had so many liberals attacking me for just simply starting a thread saying can't we just support the man as a man.

That's like describing the delicious looking punchbowl full of ice cold, refreshing fruit punch...without expecting anyone to be repulsed by the big steaming log of Obama's feces floating in it.

Drink up anyone?

If unlabeled, probably nobody.

If properly labeled then Liberals and Socialists would battle with dinner forks for their fair share of the solids. The true Marxists, though, would slurp the whole bowl down then piss on all the assembled in their best go at redistribution.

1) Obama is the reason we are even in recovery. From Bush's final months, we were losing 500,000+ jobs a month. Within mere months, that tail spin turned into growth.

2) Yeah no shit. That's what happens when the economy loses millions of jobs.

3) How is that Obama's fault? He tried to increase minimum wage. Republicans stopped him.

4) Hyperbole. Immature really.

5) You have a poor understanding of Obama's tax policies.

6) There is no indication ObamaCare is a failure.

7) With the exception of the Muslim world, the rest of the world's perception of Obama is far better than that of Bush.

8) Are you suggesting Bush has more integrity.

You really failed at this.

1) He appointed a bi-partisan cabinet.
Most Presidents appoint someone from the other party to a cabinet position mostly for appearances sake.
2) He gave the order to raid bin Laden's compound.
I have given him credit for that.
3) He extended the Bush tax cuts and is responsible for the biggest tax cut for the middle class since Reagan.
And also let them expire.
4) 2.5x more private sector jobs have been created in his 5 years than all of Bush's 8.
I'm going to need to see a link for those numbers.

I will give any President credit for what they do right but it's not easy to do when they don't do much right as a example of giving Obama credit for doing something right his use of drones in the war on terrorism.

1) He appointed a bi-partisan cabinet. And never bothered to meet with them.

2) He gave the order to raid bin Laden's compound. A call anyone would make, except maybe slow joe.

3) He extended the Bush tax cuts and is responsible for the biggest tax cut for the middle class since Reagan. He is also responsible for the largest tax increase in history, AKA the ACA

4) 2.5x more private sector jobs have been created in his 5 years than all of Bush's 8. Yet we still have a net loss of people actually working, exactly how does that work?

Bush's tax cuts were racking up debt. They needed to end.

Here is the 2.5x more jobs figure:

Hmmm... Do liberals and Democrats like those things? I'm not really a 'con' or a Republican, but I like very little about what Obama has done. He's a fucking corporatist neo-con from what I can tell.

And not only that, he came in to this job lying has ass off.

And the first thing that comes to mind about what he lied about in order to fool the voters and be voted in, is the only thing we can, arguably, 'prove'.

He lied about writing his autobiography.

Not a HUGE deal, but definitely a disqualifier if it had come out in the news prior to either of his two election wins. And it's a clue to the secrets and lies of the man and his kind of 'rule' since he came to power. It is what we have come to expect from him and his administration.

Lies in order to help himself and/or his administration and/or policies/actions.

Investor's Business Daily wrote on Tuesday that President Barack Obama's long time friend Bill Ayers, a former member of the violent organization the Weather Underground, finally confessed that he wrote Obama's biography, Dreams From My Father. :

Obama has always claimed authorship of his bestselling "Dreams From My Father."
But Ayers is telling a different story. In promoting his new book, "Public Enemy," Ayers' publisher, Beacon Press, has written a blurb on Amazon.com that says Ayers "finally 'confesses' that he did write 'Dreams From My Father.'"

The boast appears in other promotions for the book as well. For instance, a Baltimore bookstore — Red Emma's — last week posted a similar claim that Ayers penned Obama's memoir as part of an announcement for a book-signing event at the leftist coffeehouse.

The reprehensible former terrorist twice before laid claim to Obama's book — once during a post-election interview and again during a speech two years ago.

In October 2009, Ayers told an interviewer at Reagan National Airport in Washington that he wrote "Dreams From My Father." Asked if he meant he "heavily edited" the book for his friend, Ayers insisted, "I wrote it."

When Ayers was asked by this writer, while I was reporting for The Washington Times Editorial Page in 2009, if Ayers even collaborated with Obama on the president's memoir, Ayers responded that it was a "myth" that he had anything to do with the book.

1) And what good did that do us?

2) Good for him. In the grand scheme of things, it means nothing.

3) He let them expire in his quest for "income equality."

4) Two words. Part. Time.

To be frank, I don't hate him. He is simply a bad president. I dislike his policy decisions and the direction he takes this country. To me there is very little he has done right, and by george, it is time for you to recognize him for the failure he's become, Billy. You don't mind extolling Obama nor excoriating Bush. Your post reeks of a giant double standard.

Here is the 2.5x more jobs figure:

Obama?s Numbers, October Update
That same article also says millions more live in poverty, typical household incomes have not kept pace with inflation, and the federal debt is up nearly 90 percent and on pace to double before he leaves office. So when you compare that with the 2.5x more jobs figure I'm not sure it comes out as a positive it seems like it's a wash at best. Now if you don't mind I would like to add something to your original premise of the right does not give Obama enough credit for what he does right shouldn't the left be equally willing to be critical of Obama over what he does wrong? I see them no more willing to criticize Obama than you see the right willing to praise him.

I'm sure if some of us knew him personally, we could find positive things to say.

As far as politics, I disagree with liberals in general and he is no exception. I don't approve of wealth redistribution and other socialist policies. Disagreeing is not an attack on him as a person, but he is fair game as a politician.

How many liberals here have had something positive to say about any Republican?

Obama's stimulus package lifted millions out of poverty. Had he not, the poverty rate would be a lot higher. His package also increased our GDP by 2% and create or saved 2.5 million jobs.

Why am I not surprised you are minimizing his job record? Once again you all miss the point. You can still dislike a president overall and still give him credit for what he has done right. It's immature really.

My criticisms?

1) I agree. He has spent a lot, but guess what he has spent the most? DEFENSE.

2) He shouldnt have extended Bush's tax cuts. They were racking up our national debt and only created 4.6 jobs per million dollar cut. For every dollar lost in revenue generated only .59 cents in growth.
