Pete Hegseth defended himself diligently in the Senate hearings this morning.
My personal concern remains that being a Fox news personality and a former commander of a HQs and Headquarters Company is not sufficient experience to qualifying a nominee to be confirmed as Secretary of Defense.

Secretary of the Defense is a Civilian job as is the President.Huh? Lloyd Austin had accomplished far more before becoming Secretary of Defense. As much as you guys love talking about Pete’s bronze stars, Austin had earned a silver star.
?? You claimed he wasn't qualified because he had "little administrative experience and no government administrative experience" and as a result "meritocracy and high standards" were not being considered. What an odd question.
What’s your point? Trump’s supporters bring up Hegseth’s military experience relentlessly to support his nomination.Secretary of the Defense is a Civilian job as is the President.
Not exactly, but pretty close. You claimed he wasn't qualified because he had "little administrative experience and no government administrative experience" and as a result "meritocracy and high standards" were not being considered.
Hqs and hqs Company is tough job, he had to interact with senior Officers nominally under his command.Pete Hegseth defended himself diligently in the Senate hearings this morning.

No, he's not.It was no grilling, it was just a character smear.
He's as qualified if not more qualified than most.
Here’s what qualifications are neededPete Hegseth defended himself diligently in the Senate hearings this morning.

Does he report to Trump. Y or N?He’s supposed to advise, not be a mouthpiece.
So I'll ask again, why do you believe administrative skills imply meritocracy and high standards. Not exactly, but pretty close.
No different operatorsHqs and hqs Company is tough job, he had to interact with senior Officers nominally under his command.
Qualifications
The question answers itself. So I'll ask again, why do you believe administrative skills imply meritocracy and high standards.
He was a Major. He commanded a company, nor have I found him in command positions at Brigade or Division.Hegseth got to command as a captain a HQ and HQ company. I was the company clerk for a Captain that commanded our HQ and HQ company, 1st BT. 30th Infantry in Germany. My captain was from OCS and he told me he had also been a Company Clerk serving then in the Korean War. He really ensured all of my work was top rate. I always to top rated work so I was not one of his problems. Hegseth was a Colonel. Those command Battalions of around 2000 men.
Democrats were downright rude, but Pete wiped the floor with them with his articulate, intelligent, professional, and creative responses.
I was incredibly impressed with Hegseth today. He seems made for the job. He'll be so much better at Secretary of Defense than he is co-hosting Fox & Friends Weekend, which I have watched for years.
CNN says he kicked their butts...
Here is the Code Pink interruptions of his opening statement which is mentioned.
To be fair, magaturds have years of practice. These guys sure are getting good at putting lipstick on a pig.
