The GOP may return to Neo-Cons which would end MAGA and almost certainly bring communism to America, that is how unpopular Neo-Cons are. In the case of Westinghouse, it is contingent. The government is assisting Westinghouse to build 80 billion in reactors via regulatory, financial and permitting. The government will receive 20% of the profits above a certain income threshold and has the option to purchase a 20% stake in the company by 2029.

in the case of Intel, the government holds a 10% stake, but no position on the board and no influence on day to day operations. Intel makes chips and the US needs to secure semi-conductor supply chains, which reduces our dependency on China and Taiwan. Many countries take this approach with goods or services which are seen as vital to the economy or national security. The Japanese government owns a stake in Toyota. Germany owns a stake in energy companies. France owns a stake in Airbus.

Bush and Obama both oversaw equity stakes taken in AIG and GM after the 2008 recession. The government, under Obama, took a 60%+ percent ownership stake in GM and a 90%+ ownership stake in AIG. Did you have a problem with that?

Democrats mistakenly believe that the sentiment in our biggest city limits is the sentiment across the country. Large urban areas are their own little worlds.

Thank God for the foresight of our founding fathers in creating the Electoral College, otherwise, these large, nutty cities would force Socialism on all of us. They don’t realize that many people don’t want to live like they do and we should have a say as well.

That would be price control or wealth distribution as opposed to national security and supply chain concerns. Also, controlling the price would not be passive ownership as it is with Intel and Westinghouse. Not the same thing.

Bullshit. The average Canadian has the same average take home pay as the average American. But here’s the difference: we don’t have to pay health insurance premiums out of our take home pay because they’re included in our taxes.

Not only do we have no premiums to pay, but we have no deductibles, no copays and no lifelong caps on treatment or care. There is also no paperwork. I just go to the hospital or doctor and hand them my card and I don’t even see the bill.

The is no third party billing, and our costs per person are half what you’re currently paying. Oh yeah - and EVERYONE is covered. Foreign students, immigrants, and refugees. Everyone gets a health care card with their arrival package.

Your for profit system is a failure. Your life expectancy is declining and medical debt is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy.

You’re paying just as much in taxes as we are and getting the toughest best equipped military in the world. And more billionaires than any nation on earth.
