Congratulations Zohran Mamdani…You and NYC are now in the crosshairs of an aggressive and very vengeful Donald Trump.

That would be price control or wealth distribution as opposed to national security and supply chain concerns. Also, controlling the price would not be passive ownership as it is with Intel and Westinghouse. Not the same thing.
Why couldn’t land ownership be passive? NYC would just be getting a cut, like Trump is getting from Intel and Westinghouse, but helping the 99%, not billionaire oligarchs.

The point of it was to lower rent or building costs, correct? If so, that is not the same thing. That is not a passive interest.

National socialism. Picking the winner.
No, that's not National Socialism, nor is it "picking the winner" - it's betting on a winner. I am not "picking the winner" when I invest in a company, I am looking at the company, and deciding it's a winner, thus my money is safe there and likely to get a return.

National Socialism is a political party, similar to our dem party....here check out what the party leader said it's positions were:

  1. The first obligation of every citizen must be to productively work mentally or physically. The activity of individual may not clash with the interests of the whole, but must proceed within the framework of the whole for the benefit for the general good. We demand therefore:
  2. Abolition of unearned (work and labour) incomes. Breaking of debt (interest)-slavery.
  3. In consideration of the monstrous sacrifice of life and property that each war demands of the people, personal enrichment due to a war must be regarded as a crime against the nation. Therefore, we demand ruthless confiscation of all war profits.
  4. We demand nationalization of all businesses which have been up to the present formed into companies (trusts).
  5. We demand that the profits from wholesale trade shall be shared out.
  6. We demand an expansion on a large scale of old age welfare.
  7. We demand the creation of a healthy middle class and its conservation, immediate communalization of the great warehouses and their being leased at low cost to small firms, the utmost consideration of all small firms in contracts with the State, county or municipality.
  8. We demand a land reform suitable to our needs, provision of a law for the free expropriation of land for the purposes of public utility, abolition of land rent and prevention of all speculation in land.
  9. THE COMMON INTEREST OVER INDIVIDUAL INTEREST<a
  10. For the execution of all of this we demand the formation of a strong central power in the Reich. Unlimited authority of the central parliament over the whole Reich and its organizations in general. The forming of state and profession chambers for the execution of the laws made by the Reich within the various states of the confederation. The leaders of the Party promise, if necessary by sacrificing their own lives, to support by the execution of the points set forth above without consideration.

EVIL INSANITY.

Why did gipper laugh at your post?

You do know Zionist billionaires like Bloomberg and Ackman opposed Mamdani. Why would you side with them, when you have nothing in common with traitors of a foreign nation?

Are you stupid or has Zionist propaganda controlled your mind?

Then Trump’s the bigger socialist, I guess!

Nope…again wealth distribution vs national security and supply chain issues. I don’t expect you to understand.

Uh, dude, I work in Supply Chain.

What Trump is doing is ******* up Supply Chains, and will probably cause the recession we are already heading into.

Tariffs are a different topic than protecting the supply chain for much needed chips and energy by investing in US based manufacturing.

Only oligarchs can earn passive income? That doesn’t make much sense in what’s supposed to be a free economy.

The market is supposed to bet on the winner, not the government.

The Govt can operate in the market and does often

When someone invest in a company, the market still has to operate, that investment can be a failure, or a winner. Investing doesn't change that. It depends on how the people working for that company operate it.

So, the NYC government can dabble in the real estate market?
