The Confederate statues do NOT glorify slavery. If they glorify anything it's people defending their way of life and standard of living against an oppressive government. Back then there were no farm tractors to plow the fields or automated farming. Farming was and still is very labor intensive.
If you look at the rationale' of the "antifa" rioters their reasoning isn't much different than the confederates used.
