I thought the alleged false statement was about authorizing McCabe to leak something to the press that ran October 30th. McCabe said he did it, but said Comey had authorized it, but later was accused of lack of Candor.....?
Comey was asked if he ordered the leak by McCabe, and his answer was No, he did not order it.
The Doj is saying Comey lied by that answer.
Comey said he did not order or authorize McCabe to do the leak to the press, he said McCabe told him about him doing it, on October 31st....a day AFTER McCabe had already done it....he did not order it or know McCabe did the press leak prior to it being done.
The second Trumper prosecutor appointed by Trump to GET COMEY, (Durham was first) brought it to a grand jury to get an indictment, and the grand jury voted it down, would not bring charges against Comey.
Trump fired that Trumper prosecutor because he didn't bring charges.
Trump just hired this personal lawyer lady as a replacement prosecutor, who has zero experience in criminal law and zero time in a court, to try to get a charge against Comey.....
I guess third times a charm. First it was Durham trying for charges, then this Trumper male prosecutor who he hired and just fired, and now this inexperienced young lady, who did do the dirty deed for Trump, and got him indicted...
