Cleveland Indians Merchandise

I thought that IF they were going to bow down, cower, and change the name, they should have renamed the team the "Cleveland Tribe"... A tribe isn't exclusive to native americans, but somewhat keeps the history.

Instead, they chose a vanilla, pointless name.

Been a Cleveland fan since the 1950's. Still think back to the awe I felt as a young'un walking up the ramp to our seats at massive Municipal Stadium with its green grass spread out before me. One game I recall seeing there was against Kansas City, the season Rocky Colavito played for the visiting A's. When in my late 20's and mortgage rates were crazy, I moved to Arizona influenced by the Tribe spending their Springs there.

Saw that former owner Nick Mileti passed away a day or two ago. Recall him saving the team from Vernon Stouffer's plan of having the team start their season in New Orleans until it warmed up in Cleveland.

I was watching that game as my wife was in the bed next to me in labor. Our daughter wasn't born until the next morning but it's a game I will always remember for that.

I have a basement full of Cleveland Indians stuff.
Sounds legit.

New Orleans?! Holy crap. I hadn't heard that.

Just think if they could have mustered just one WS win in the 1990s or against Chicago. How much more the souvenirs would be worth.

I bought this at a garage sale today. It was only a few dollars. I can't drink out of it as it's only a collectable but I was so desperate to get my hands on something that had The Cleveland Indians name and Chief Wahoo logo on it so I had to get it.

It commemorates the impossible return in 2001. I don't know much about it but according to the box this was the third time in the history of baseball where a team had overcome a twelve run deficit to win. I was only eleven years old back then.
