Chuck Norris is insane

I don't really get this one. If true, why would you be concerning yourself with politics...you should be trying to live a Godly life.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

That's the one that means that if you aren't a fundamentalist christian, get out. You know, American Taliban type stuff. :cuckoo:

Yes, because in Liberal Lalaland, a declaration of personal faith and belief is ALWAYS a veiled threat toward the nearest liberal. After all, we all know that it's all about YOU, and the sun rises and sets in your freaking belly button.

You know......if it came down to a choice of Chuck Norris being president of Texas (the state I live in), or ending up getting run over by a bus?

I'll vote for the bus every time.
I'd like to be driving that bus.

Perhaps we could raffle off that honor.

Be careful, though. Sarah the Senseless will take you literally and try to have you arrested for threatening Biker's life. :eusa_whistle:

..it is about a Republican wanting to overthrow the government because he is apparently very unhappy with the outcome of a legal election.

But proposition 8 is okay to protest and vow to change.:eusa_hand:

I don't think Norris has a problem with the legal outcome of the election. I think he has a problem with the bullshit behavior of the legal winner AFTER the election. As well he should.

the felons list alone in Florida changed the outcome of the election.

To pretend their was no reason to question the 2000 election is just bullshit.

To try to pretend that the election was fixed in BUSH'S favor is bullshit. To try to pretend that Gore's Unconstitutional and illegal hissy fit was merely "questioning the election" is just offensively dishonest.

And to then accuse REPUBLICANS of having trouble accepting legal election results is hypocrisy. So if the shoe fits, wear it.

the facts are in the record.

its wasnt the ONLY illegal thing doen by the Rs during the election but it in itself was enough to disenfranchise thousands of legal voters.

Its fact and court documents prove it.

You're citing Wikipedia at me. BWAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! ::cough, choke::

I hope you're happy. I just spit Diet Coke through my nose.

you don't understand the difference? the Court exists to overturn unconstitutional laws. Nothing in the election process was unconstitutional or illegal.

As usual, the right wingnuts are sore losers and have been throwing tantrums since the people rejected Sawah Bawwacuda.

I love that you're lecturing us on Constitutionality by declaring that the court exists to overturn laws. Tell me, Clarence Darrow. Where do you find THAT in the Constitution? Cite me that Article or Amendment, please.

Who said that? Other than you I mean. What was in the article was a question. Will our leaders begin to listen or will things spin so out of control that a revolution is called for.

This is a very Jeffersonian question. Recall Jefferson said "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure."

Just the last paragraph of the article:

Again, Sam Houston put it well when he gave the marching orders, "We view ourselves on the eve of battle. We are nerved for the contest, and must conquer or perish. It is vain to look for present aid: None is at hand. We must now act or abandon all hope! Rally to the standard, and be no longer the scoff of mercenary tongues! Be men, be free men, that your children may bless their father's name."

I may run for president of Texas

He sounds like he is organizing a Wako type thing. I don't think he is in his right mind but others have been known to listen to nutcases like him before. And they always get little kids involved...

I'm surprised they let patients in your ward to get on the computer.

"We view ourselves on the eve of battle...." Clearly, from the foregoing text of his blog, he is quoting Sam Houston metaphorically. While he also makes clear, that should it come to it, he would not be metaphorical in the least.

What I can't understand in the least is how you can compare someone who has based his opposition to the actions of the current government firmly in our founding documents, held precious to this country as securing for posterity our liberty and saying it sounds like he is the same kind of guy as a cultist leader of a separatist religious sect. :cuckoo:

Exactly what kind of meds do you take to make such a loony connection?

That would be the Liberal Kool-Aid. I think it's spiked with LSD . . . or maybe just an extra big dose of Stupid.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

How can you live a godly life and ignore whats going on in the world?

Didn't you know? Liberals think that core religious beliefs somehow only apply to Sunday church-type stuff, not to actual, everyday life and current events.

This guy is bonkers.

I have a friend that trained with him years ago ( I do mean they were Both students at the same time) and he says Chuck is a huge egomaniac.

so was Bruce Lee .....so what?

Let's look at the facts here. TruthDOESNTmatter quotes an article that misquotes Norris, takes his words out of context and/or presents assumptions and hypotheticals as fact, while linking to what Norris ACTUALLY said.

She then proceeds to substantiate her thread title with "I had a friend that trained with him years ago."

:cuckoo:

Really? When did WE ever throw a huge national tantrum and try to undermine the Constitutionally-mandated electoral system just because we didn't get the result we wanted? ::waits while the crickets chirp:: Yeah, that's what I thought. But now you lackwits want to claim that we don't accept elections just because we have the gall to criticize the idiot elected, while fully acknowledging that he won fair and square?

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal.

Uhm, right now. You and your party are saying they want to overthrow the entire fucking government.

Me and my party? ::looks around for her apocryphal party:: What party am I part of, and where did I - or anyone, for that matter - call for the overthrow of "the entire fucking government"?

Oh, that's right. You're one of those liberal dimwits with no sense of humor who can't tell when an opinion columnist - who, by the way, didn't call for the overthrow of this government - is BEING HUMOROUS.

I know five-year-olds who have better common sense and perspective. Do you have any idea how insanely moronic you sound, taking that column completely literally? Next thing you know, you chuckleheads will demand the Secret Service surround Norris's house Waco-style and arrest him for conspiracy to treason. :cuckoo:
another in agreement with me on sarah g and her being a total moron

I think it's hilarious. I've practiced martial arts for almost 30 years. Her friend learned to distinguish between which grunt meant what and managed to get a political message out of it?

Priceless.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....we didn't win! I HATE democracy! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Nutters.

hypocrite...when you spoke against bush and his policies it wasn't whining, despite the dems losing twice....

i expected better from you

Careful, you might be wrong.

Oh you are wrong.

I didn't like BushCheney's policies. But I don't remember cheering on anyone that wanted to overthrow the elected government.

Chuck Norris says it may soon be time to violently overthrow the U.S. government, and he’s organizing “cells” around the country.

That might be hyperbole, an exaggeration or an outright lie but I wasn't kicking out at Chuck, I was referring to the nutters who are banging on about chucking out the government.

If Chuck really did say then then he needs his arse kicked. Of course the problem is finding someone to kick his arse.

If Chuck really did say then than I'm going to send back my Chuck Norris "Kick Drugs Out of America" tee shirt. But I'll wash it first, I have manners.

So, I'm not a hypocrite after all.

Fancy that.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....we didn't win! I HATE democracy! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Nutters.

Don't you have kangaroos you need to screw?

Oh that is so funny and original. I'm devastated.

I don't think I'll be able to show my keyboard here again after that .

But I'll try anyway. I'll be sure not to tangle with though. You're far too good at this for me.

We ALL long for a world where all the bad guys wear black hats and all the good guys are cops.

Sadly, and I don't how to break this to you guys who admire Chuck, that's not the world we live in and even if Chuch Norris were made KING, that's not the world he could make our of what we've got either.

Human nature folks.

It has an ugly side, too.

We all understand that humans never can measure up to ideals. Ideals are normative things to be striven for. If you become satisfied with being lost in the 'shades of gray,' content with whatever the status quo is.....then the likelihood of improvement dissipates.

I don't think we are searching for a way to explain what we see. We are search for a way to improve where we are.

If we don't actually KNOW what we're seeing (for example if you think giving money to the richest people on earth is a form of socialism) then searching for a way to improve our lot is going to be one hell of a lot more difficult, though, don't you think?

I can't sign onto a team that thinks what is happening is socialism, because if they don't know that socialism is, how can I know if they know what anything means?

I sign onto their team, for example, and they tell me they want one thing, only in thier universe the world they're using means something completely unexpected.

You're lawyer for criminies sakes, Tech, how can you dismiss the importance of words in problem solving tasks?

I mean, I expect you, of all people,(one of the annointed priests of our social sciences) to understand the difference between socialism and this whole fraud we're involved in.
That is an excellent question, Ed.
