Jesus Christ is not establishing a dead, Sunday-morning snooze-fest religion called, Christianity.
Jesus Christ is establishing a Kingdom of Priests called, The Order of Melchizedek.

Once you move beyond the simplicity of it, it get's complicated.

It has been prophesied that there would be a great "falling away" in the end times. Mainstream churches have shied away from the Scriptures, preaching of sin and repentance, and basically turning people away from the Cross.

Jesus already established Christianity; he already established his church (not the brick-and-mortar sort).

His priesthood arrived 2,000 years ago.
