China doesn't care about tariffs and will easily sidestep them.

It adds to the cost for Americans. That's who will pay the price.
How much does it add?

At some point it becomes cheaper to build and buy American

Simple solution: Put the tariff on any country doing the final assembly……on EVERY product coming in from that country.
‘Won’t take long for them to give Biden’s handlers the middle finger.

It will cost however much the tariffs cost. How long do you think it will take to build all those factories here?

It makes Chinese products less competitive, which is the goal of tariffs, Simp.
It also increases the price for consumers. China is our major trade partner. What they produce won't easily be replaced somewhere else.

That’s part of the problem. Simpleton Americans like you think in terms of months while the Chicoms think in terms of decades.

You seem to be addicted to instant gratification

Sometimes you have to think long-term

When trump enacted tariffs on China in his first presidency, they simply routed the products intended for delivery to the US through other countries that weren't covered by the tariffs for what they called final assembly. Anything done to the products in the third countries is considered final assembly, even minor adjustments, and is an easy way to bypass tariffs. Seems trump would have figured out what was happening the first time he tried it, but he's really not that smart.

^^^The left will shortly begin enthusiastically rooting for who their real heroes are.

Stand by...

So? Why should our economy rely on the Chicom’s benevolence? That is stupid.

Higher prices for Americans, and they will last for decades. Have you completely thought that out?

You can thank trump for the increased prices.

So the left now doesn't care about Trump enacted tariffs and we'll never hear them complain about them again.

Wonderful news.

It could be China has become such an economic powerhouse, access to the US market is not that important to them.

For example, China has lead the world in auto production since 2008 though it doesn’t sell many cars in the US. China Dominates As The World's Top Car Producer | ZeroHedge

There will be a time they do not need us. They have hundreds of millions of their own people who have not joined the hundreds of millions who have a middle-class life yet. And that is by Chinese standards. Not ours. Their build up a powerful nation is incredible. Their safety standards are woefully lacking compared to ours and it would be good to slowly get everything homemade again. An early one would be food with any questions to it.

Tater added to Trump’s China tariffs, Simp.

Can you link us up to your pissy pants thread about that?

Betcha can’t.
