Chelsea Handler: ‘My armed guards don’t have semi-automatic weapons’

my posts are in response to the op which implies gun control advocates, like chelsea handler, are somehow hypocrites for having body guards.

Claiming for themselves a right which they would deny to us “little people”—how does that not make them hypocrites?

Ms. Handler thinks that because she's wealthy enough to be able to afford to pay others to carry guns, instead of carrying on herself, that this somehow entitles her to be protected by the use of firearms; but that the rest of us should not be entitled to any similar protection.

She thinks she's better than us peons, when, in truth, she is far inferior to the lowest manual laborer who does real work.

armed guards have a lawful purpose for their weaponry.

they should be required to be appropriately trained and licensed for that lawful purpose.

Last I checked, according to the US constitution, citizens of this country are not required to have a "lawful purpose" nor do they have to be "appropriately trained" in order to carry arms.

Education is poorly lacking in this arena...one would think that if you favor doing something as radical as removing a right from the constitution that you would know what the **** you are talking about...that's the problem with the gun issue...too many uninformed uneducated idiots weighing in verbally...

Indeed. Personally i love revolvers and have won just a foot from me as i type. And they are a good choice for self defense for ordinary people. But professional bodyguards all carry semi-auto with maybe a snubby revovler for backup.

Give those people assault rifles and they kill. Ban assault rifles and they don’t. Why would you support assault rifles? Why is that necessary? I’m not talking about handguns for the 2nd amendment, which by the way was written before assault weapons

The old "nobody needs an assault rifle" argument. Well -- nobody needs assault vehicles capable of doing TWICE the legal speed limit either. And yet there are millions of AV on our highways and they kill people every day and chelsea says cool.

Had one for my .357.

So do i. And speedloaders sure beat carrying cartridges in your pocket or in belt loops. But they are nowhere's near as fast as a magazine. Esp in an actual gun fight as opposed to target shooting . THINK.

citizens who wish to bear arms to defend themselves with deadly force by gun should be required to be trained and permitted for whichever weapon suits that lawful purpose. in any case, a weapon of rapid mass human slaughter is not necessary to defend your home or your family.
