Much of the MSM broadcast's include in context the words of primary sources. Do they ask "gotya" questions? Of course, that is the job of a journalist, to seek the truth. And many times that means asking questions of pols unrehearsed and on topics the Pol would rather not face.

Of course the media has changed, a result of CNN and the Internet. Once a scoop was prized, today it is claimed by "Breaking News" banners on such topics as man bites dog. Silly, foolish and non substantive; many times dishonest and confused statements on the crawl, and broadcasters interviewing each other as if that is something insightful (it's not).

So, it is imperative in a democracy for the voter to personally vet sources as credible or not. the responsible voter, IMO, needs to watch, listen to and read a variety of sources before deciding on an issue.
