There is no “class war” no matter how much you want one, and it was liberal judges that keep setting monsters like this free.

Uh, the judge set him free because his "crime" was "improperly using 911 to ask for help."

I would like to go back to having mental hospitals for people who are this far gone, before they hurt anyone.

Liberals would be against it because it's "mean". Conservatives would be against it because they might ask Rich People to pay for it.

"Since 2007 Decarlos Brown, now 34, has had at least 14 separate cases in the criminal court system in Mecklenburg County, which includes Charlotte.

When he was 22, Brown was charged in at least four separate cases that included shoplifting, larceny, breaking and entering and felony conspiracy. Court records show he was convicted of all of those charges except conspiracy.

Less than a year later, Brown pulled a gun on a man in the middle of the day at a Charlotte apartment complex and robbed him of his cellphone and $450. Brown pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal and a judge sentenced him to serve between six and eight years in prison.

Prison records show Brown spent six years in prison, followed by a year of probation."

The ironic thing is this guy will go to jail for life and finally get the treatment he needed in the first place.

If you’ve ever dealt with people needing mental health crisis, challenge is identifying it and your assumption is that everyone needing it is clamoring for it….. “hey, I really want mental health resources but since I don’t have it, I’m going to hurt innocent people”. Solve for that

I'm not sure why you think a schizophrenic sleeping on a heating grate and eating out of garbage cans is preferable to a warm hospital where they will get medication and food.

Now, because I'm not an idealogical robot, I blame Liberals for this problem as much as Conservatives. Liberals for pushing the idiocy of letting people out if they aren't immediately dangerous. Conservatives for pushing for tax cuts for the rich over needed government services.

I'm not sure why you think a schizophrenic sleeping on a heating grate and eating out of garbage cans is preferable to a warm hospital where they will get medication and food.

Now, because I'm not an idealogical robot, I blame Liberals for this problem as much as Conservatives. Liberals for pushing the idiocy of letting people out if they aren't immediately dangerous. Conservatives for pushing for tax cuts for the rich over needed government services.

I could go for funding of helping the mentally ill over the bullshit man-made climate change initiatives. The program would need to be completely transparent and no multi-level bureaucracy levels as a vehicle to reward cronies.

I don’t pretend I don’t see the homeless….especially when they panhandle. I remind myself that this is an opportunity to feed and clothe the poor as per the teachings of Jesus Christ.

It is not the poor or homeless that I am skeptical. It is the tax-funded bureaucracy supposedly set up to solve the problem that ends up using it as a vehicle to reward political cronies.
