MLK was a despicable man. When he thought interest in the Civil Rights movement was fading he ordered little black girls to face off against a madman, Bull Connor. It was King who put children in the front lines of demonstration. Connor was so crazed, he lost his election. His restrictions were going to be gone in a matter of days. King couldn't have that. He directed a huge demonstration and watched approvingly as Bull Connor ordered the dogs on those children and turned firehoses on them. Then King begged for sympathy and money.

He's trying to derail the thread becasue he can't understand why people are so upset about a good, upcoming voice on the right being silenced. A voice that potentially could have helped us break some of the gridlock.

Kirk was not holding a gun. He was holding a microphone. He wasn't telling his opposition to go away, he was inviting them to a conversation.

And he was shot for that.

It embodies everything about our current political system that the left (and assholes like him) enjoys. Silencing of voices. Forcing of values, and abuse of systems.

And we can't be upset over that because we don't go ape over school shootings (like they know what or how we feel when these are always discussed in terms of gun control).

They've definitely drawn more attention to his extremist views, which many ppl may not have been aware of before, and now more people have confirmed that Kirk was a scumbag.

Democrats have never not condemned political violence of this sort. Trump on the hand, openly stated he wouldn't even call Walz, after the murders of Melissa Hartman and her husband and called him "whacked out." This is a man who never grew past the 13 year old version of himself, never matured, never developed as a person, and never should have been elected president.
