I saw him in San Francisco in 1972 or 3. It was at the Winterland and had to be the most incongruous selection of acts imaginable. Charlie Daniels opened up followed by King Crimson and then Ten Years After.

You know, when you say shit like this, it just disgusts regular folks. If somebody tells me tomorrow that you got dragged to death behind a truck, I'm not gonna give a damn, and I doubt anyone else will either....... but I and millions of others will still miss Charlie Daniels.
