Yes it seems that conservative attacks on charities have led to an increase in fundraisng and a growth in membership. These people are the remnants of the brexit trash add believe that they have their fingers on the pulse.
Far from it.

Their bonehead idiocy has led to a boom as people realise the important work that they do.

It seems that this issue should be explained to those who don't follow closely the British political life. What are these charities and what pressure was applied to them by 'right-wing' politics.

BTW, this article mentions some 'proposed legislation designed to restrict public protest and legal challenge'. What is this legislation about?

So how do we deal with the folks who would like to put an end to this right wing fund raising for a good cause tommy? and how does one explain the lack of outrage over those who engage in it? especially the media!

And the article is devoid of any actual data.

It is all what campaigners 'say' or how they 'feel.'

Is this supposed to be convincing of anything whatsoever?

It isnt right wing fundraising. Its non partisan. Barnardos look after orphans. The National Trust look aftr historicalbuildings and the RNLI save those in peril on the sea They are independent of government and are funded by donations by the public.

They have been under aattack by a group of extreme right wing politicians who do not like what they do. The RNLIpick up immigrants out of the Channel. The National Trust comissioned a survey into the roots of slavery. It pointed out which of their properties was built from the proceeds of slavery. Much needed work you will agree.

Anyway that was enough to put them on the naughty step.NT members are generally moderate conservatives of retirement age and have seen through all of this. Crucially the members decide the direction of the Trust and as they are interested in History the survey is not seen as a threat but as an opportunity to learn.

They want no part of tory extremism.

The tories want to restrict the right to protest, mainly to stop some eco warriors causing mischief. They are also introducing statue protection laws. Under these laws you could get 10 years for knocking over a statue. That is more thn some rapists get.
Kneejerk legislation is rarely a good idea. (Google Priti Patel for more detail)

People voluntarily donating to charity is awesome.

People advocating government steal money from one group to give to another are not awesome. They are pieces of shit.
There is no public money involved. The politicians are trying to turn public opinion against the charities with this "woke" nonsense. It turns out they have picked the wrong targets.

and the anti-woke driving up those donations to new highs [you said so yourself...that was your claim and my response was to that claim ] and lefties trying to put an end to it...would you like to see an end to the anti-woke crowd if it drove down donations

who is under attack?

And these are the groups that the anti-woke crowd is helping to fund with their actions?

If I agree will I be expected to do or say anything that could or would knowingly drive down donations?

lol...the members decide the direction? there are folks in this country languishing in prison for doing that, its an invitation to corruptioin
They want no part of tory extremism.
except the money of course

Well, again, this raises even more questions. What do you mean 'mischief'? Canadian truckers were causing mischief?

Statues are a public property. And if there is no decision of local council to remove them, those breaking them down are breaching the law. Though, 10 years is ridiculous too much.

BTW, what caught my eye is an ethnic background of Patel. She along with Javid and Sunak are prominent figures in the Conservative party. That is good, it seems that the Tories aren't associated anymore with 'a white man' party.

There isn't a leftist in the world who doesn't want to take money from rich people and give it to special interest groups without paying a nickel himself, and feeling all generous about it.

Thanks for that observation. You have reading comprehension issues.

Dig a bit deeper and you will find that they are members of a different minority that is altogether more in tune with tory values.
Meanwhile the Try party is undergoing an investigation into Islamaphobia after a former Minister was told her "Muslimness" was upsetting other Ministers.
The accused was just promoted by Johnson to be Leader of the House..

What do you mean by 'a different minority'? That they aren't the Muslims? It is not about Javid, it seems.
