All of the bellyaching I'm hearing from Chargers fans after they traded a player to another team for a draft pick. How do they expect the team to change if they hang on to guys that are past their prime and losing value as well as overpaid. Let someone else pay his salary. He's due for another injury. He only had 7 TDs last season. He dropped a lot of passes when he was the key player in the offense.

Several other players accepted pay cuts but Keenan Allen refused, so they showed him the door.
Selfish players don't make championship caliber teams.

From what I can see there are several WRs that are as good or better than Keenan Allen in this draft.
The Chargers have the 5th pick, but they can still pick up a couple of good WRs deep in the draft.
Not all draft classes are this deep.

The primary knock on the Chargers offense was that they have no speed.
So three of the slow guys are gone. #81Mike Williams, #13Keenan Allen, and #30Austin Eiekler.
Another thing the Chargers didn't have was size. So now they have bigger TEs that can block for Justin Herbert.
All they need now is a center, possibly an OT on the right side, a RB who can pound the ball, and speed WRs that can spread the Defense.
As bad as the Chargers Defense was, the offense still needed a lot of work.

The Defense is going to have to be worked on next season.

Harbaugh does like building the team from the line back. If you can't protect the QB or open holes for your RB, it doesn't matter how good they are, you won't have success. Given how many QBs will go early, either Harrison Jr or Odunze should be available. Both can stretch the field and be a true deep threat.
