The federal gubmint isn't the only dispensary of social welfare....The State of New York has one of the greatest contraptions of socialistic redistributionist welfare state do-goodery in the nation.

yeah... we keep paying money that gets re-distributed to 'red states'.

Then why do you keep voting for those people, Jillian? I'm from the northeast and you're not the first person who I've heard complain about their state being a donor state. You guys complain about it, but then walk into the voting booth and put the same people right back into office who are a-okay with your Federal tax dollars leaving New York and being redistributed to Mississippi. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

One of the reasons I moved to South Carolina was because I was tired of paying the higher cost of living in Massachusetts.

You know that the New York State Senate was controlled for almost 50 years by Republicans, right up until 2009, right?

You do know that the Governor's office was held by a Republican for 12 years, until 2007, right?

You know that New York City has had Republican-turned-Independant Mayors since 1993, right?
