Pursuing happiness is not just hedonistic activities. It also involves earning a living, providing for one's family, visiting and/or caring for one's family, eating at restaurants and exercising at a gym, and certainly not masking faces for two years on the whim of a politician.
You protect yourself however you want, and dont worry about others' behavior unless you are some kind of control freak. You are probably vaxed and masked. If either of those things work, you are protected. If they don't work, you can't possibly expect other people to use them too.
Right?

Nothing has stopped the pandemic, only prolonged it.Everybody has an immune system, but that didn't stop or slow all the previous pandemics since the beginning of time. We are in an enlightened age where plagues are no longer blamed on witches or demons, and we have it in our own hands to contain the plague, if only peoples behavior didn't constantly undermine the effort.
