Wouldn't including a system to capture CO2 from emission plants at the smokestack source be a no-nonsense approach? Also large Diesel motors including 18 wheelers. It could seem trying to get the job done on the top of a High Mesa as the worst way.

Sure the short range EV vehicle has its benefits but only if the Production of them & the electric generation plants curtails CO2 levels to 0 !

Utter nonsense waste of money and has been tried several times to failure already.

I always love it. CO2 bad. Rainforests must be done away with. Plants do not use CO2. Must build machine to use CO2. Brought to you by the same folks that have said coasts will be underwater. Those same ones that own mansions on the coasts.

I used to know a Democrat guy who kept running for local offices. Every time he ran for office, he lost.

Anyway, I was talking to him one time and he was rambling on about how some day, all the cars and trucks will be electric. He said the roads would have wires embedded under the pavement, where the cars and trucks would get their power.

He was serious. :laughing0301:

By the way are you aware the planet is in thrall with all the extra CO2 added to the atmosphere?

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds

From a quarter to half of Earth’s vegetated lands has shown significant greening over the last 35 years largely due to rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change on April 25.

An international team of 32 authors from 24 institutions in eight countries led the effort, which involved using satellite data from NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer instruments to help determine the leaf area index, or amount of leaf cover, over the planet’s vegetated regions. The greening represents an increase in leaves on plants and trees equivalent in area to two times the continental United States.

Greening of the Earth Mitigates Surface Warming

A new study reports that increased vegetation growth during the recent decades, known as the “Greening Earth”, has a strong cooling effect on the land due to increased efficiency of heat and water vapor transfer to the atmosphere.

A new study published in the journal Science Advances titled “Biophysical impacts of Earth greening largely controlled by aerodynamic resistance” reports that the entire land surface would have been much warmer without the cooling effect of increased green cover during the recent decades. The study used high-quality satellite data from NASA’s MODIS sensors and NCAR’s state-of-the-art numerical earth system model.

Why are you in favor of denying Earths need for more CO2?

More green is because man increased irrigation & fertilizer.

Carbon dioxide is currently emitted at 10 GtC per year and the oceans currently absorb 2.4 Gt carbon dioxide per year. The ocean is an enormous carbon sink with the capacity to hold thousands more gigatons of carbon dioxide. Maybe building plants to put CO2 into deep oceans is making more sense.

As of this month this is what is really Real out there and not B.S.

An the forest aren't actually healthy they are just mostly scrup crap filled with Vines wrapped around trees suffocating them, The Virgin forest floor doesn't exist mostly and bugs are killing the trees, 3 out of 5 before they are 50 years old. Really the only thing doing well are crap southern Pine.

Half the world was infected with deadly bugs allegedly released from a Chinese bio-lab and all libs want to talk about is C02. WTF?

This seems like an Alternative way to fly Jet Aircraft due to the footprint. The amount of CO2 to make the fuel = the amount the jet engine exhausts ! How many 10's of millions of Metric tons can be made needs to be & answer! The answer to gasoline and diesel fuel is obvious also. Scrubbing CO2 directly out of the Atmosphere on a huge scale with Solar would be a consideration ! An obvious question is where does the water come from !

OMG a Virgo Launch, this can't be good for our environment. Should of named it with Aries !
A Virgo Artemis, OMG! Pain, Oh the Pain ! Should wait for Scorpio ! Worst rains are in August.
Artemis is such an Askhole name to paint on it ! Is like naming the thing Hemorrhoids !

I got nothing.

Vanguard, the second-largest US fund manager with about $7.1 trillion of assets, said Wednesday it was quitting the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative after a “considerable period of review.” The group is part of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero that was brought together last year by former Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, and its members oversee a combined $150 trillion in assets. Vanguard’s exit marks the coalition’s largest defection to date and comes amid growing attacks from US Republicans against banks and asset managers deemed unfriendly toward the fossil-fuel industry.
Guys Wind, Solar and Hydro power are great and lets get all of it right. Fusion Energy!

Well, let us question the obvious, mass extinction, terrible diseases, starvation, global nucellar war, getting hit by a 30 mile diameter asteroid as the only actual right answers? Why not just find a really great answer to more potable water? Better HVAC and power generation. Unlimited power generation immediately covers lowering CO2 in the atmosphere because it simply is captured and put back into the ground.
