You forgot that the military segregated blacks.

ALL the arguments being used against gays in the military were used by bigots to prevent the racial integration of the armed forces.

Those arguments are no more valid today than they were 60 years ago.

This was discussed when it first happened and NO it is not legal to have sex with animals in the Military. The specific article had to be removed because it made sodomy illegal and since Gays can serve openly that had to go. Other articles cover bestiality with out actually using the term. Conduct unbecoming comes to mind.

The military is subject to US laws not expressly detailed in the UCMJ. Someone caught engaging in such activities can still be charged under articles other than 125.
