Zone1 Candles in churches, is it a good thing?

what do you like in churches?

  • paintings

Smoke from candles and incense is what primarily ruins paintings and gums up stained glass.

Unfortunate part. I really dislike snuffing the candles because I really dislike the way it smells.

And in the way of Advent, we build our outside creche piece by piece, as Christmas approaches.

What I love about my faith is that our holiest days are celebrated as seasons, not just days.

and what about statues and paintings? 😊

After V2 got the statues removed from our church, in which process they were damaged, they were eventually restored and put back into place. The restoration of the Blessed Virgin is beautiful, but St. Joseph ended up like he was wearing eye makeup.

Not that I could have done a better job.

But if they'd just left them in place, it would not be an issue.

I think we also need a statue of St. Michael, but it would play havoc with the symmetry we've got now.
