"Principal fired after Florida students shown Michelangelo statue"

"Principal Hope Carrasaquilla of Tallahassee Classical School said she resigned after she was given an ultimatum by the school board to resign or be fired."
Just so we're clear here, the "cancel culture" comes from both sides, people who want their narrative to control all the narratives.

Fake news. The lady who was fired stated she did not even know the reason she was told to resign.

Also nowhere is it stated who objected to the viewing of the statue, much less what their political views are.

Disagree.

Denouncing rightwing racism, bigotry, and hate in the context of private society doesn’t ‘cancel’ anything – conservatives who engage in hate speech remain at liberty to do so absent punitive measures by the state.

In the Florida case, we see conservative government seeking to censor creative expression and silence advocates of that expression using punitive measures and the authority of the state.

You're arguing whether the "cancel culture" is just that. This post is more working from the basis that people think "cancel culture" is something, therefore it is.

If that is true, this example certainly doesn't support it. There is no mention of the age of these students nor, for that matter, the actual REASON she resigned rather than being terminated.
OTOH, there are thousands of examples of those on the Right being "canceled" for their opinions - not actions - OPINIONS.

I'm sure for many nothing will show "canceled" for one group and EVERYTHING will show "canceled" for their own group.
