So Canada is caving. Another tariff win for Trump.

Canada announced Friday it was dropping most of its counter-tariffs of 25% on U.S. goods.

The tariffs on U.S. autos, steel and aluminum will remain in place for now.

The move comes as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement is scheduled for a review in the next few months.

Carney's feeling the heat.

Those trade negotiations are going to be lit.

"Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre criticized Carney's decision, accusing the prime minister of making "generous concessions" to the U.S. president without getting anything in return.

"Today we learned that it is yet another capitulation and climb-down by Mark Carney, his elbows have mysteriously gone missing," he said Friday.

Poilievre says either Carney has to admit that he was wrong all along or that he lied during the election campaign when he said he was the man who could get the best deal with Trump.

"He needs to explain which of those two things it is," Poilievre said."

You DO realize that most all of the threads by CONSERVATIVES are accompanied by links from major news sources like yours is, while the ones created by LEFTISTS are accompanied by links to sites that most people have never heard of, or are OPINION pieces, lol!

You THINK you have burst at least 1 bubble of the far Leftists.

Nah, lol.

The Bergs, IMs, Leshes, MACAFLOOZY's, and GWILIKERS of the world, are sitting with baited breath at their keyboards, waiting for the DNC to instruct them on how to SPIN and PROPAGANDIZE this.

Still though Dell, you did the correct thing. You posted REALITY. Now LEFTISTS under the command of the DNC, are going to come here, and respond with FANTASY, hahahahahahahahahahaha!

I haven't seen any response from the commie Canadians--Dragonlady and the duck.

Looking at monthly trade balance statistics, tariffs have been a lose-lose proposition for both sides as trade between the countries has dropped with both counties importing less from each other. Assuming all other things being equal, this government interference in the free-market system has had less effect on Canadian imports then they've had on ours.

Trump is a tough cookie and the prevailing thoughts expressed on CBC is that they all assumed Trump would fold if Canada targeted red states with tariffs, similar to what China does. They'd leverage the usual GOP politicians to send tweets out against tariffs etc.

The fact is though, that Canada is I believe accounting for 3% or something of the U.S economy. It's miniscule compared to the tariff revenue and job returning/tax revenue.

The people on the panel were disappointed and said "what worked in his first term is not working in his second term". In essence, these experts underestimated Trumps resolves to bring manufacturing and resource jobs back to America.

It's similar to the information your USTR and State Department have on Canadian abuses. I'm living proof of the most extreme violations that even the East Germans would be angry about.

Whistleblowers go a LONG way in this administration. It's why he chose people such as Gabbard and Patel among others. They were fairly open about their experiences and distrust of what some were doing politically in the name of the U.S government. Trump faced the extreme brunt of it all.
