Is Homosexuality A Choice?

Elton John is living proof that a person can choose to be gay. Back in the day he had a wife. Then years later he married another man. Science says you are born gay. But I call that science "fact" psudoscience.
Are you daft? Marriage has NOTHING to do with it. What you just wrote is pseudo-logic.

Science has never found a genetic or hormonal of other physiological reason for homosexuality.
Yes it has its called twin studies. Identical twins are both gay 53% of the time. Fraternal twins 43% non twin siblings 23%. So we can see by the closeness of the genome the high the incidence of being gay. So you ask when then isnt it 100% in I twins? There is another factor called epigenetics that switches the gene on.

I can only go by my personal observations of others. I would have to say no it is not a choice. When a lady friend of mine discovered she was sexually attracted to women at the age of 14 she tried to commit suicide. When two schoolmates of mine teen boys discovered they were attracted to males they succeeded in committing suicide. So I would have to say it is not a choice. Is it genetic or a conditioned behavior caused by the environment? I don't know.
Women are naturally more bisexual than men

Well, maybe 5% of them are born that way. The other 95% get sucked into it. I'm just sayin.

Why do people like different flavors of ice cream?

Almost every gay male I have ever met, had several things in common:

1) Early onset of puberty with a high level of testosterone, as evidence by lots of body hair.

2) A distant father and overbearing mother.

3) Absolutely no interest in females of any persuasion, including the more masculine ones.

That's my amateur assessment, but my wife was a sociology major and studied homosexuality in college agrees with me.

I had a roommate in college that came out. I had a classmate in the Navy ROTC that accidentally outed himself to my girlfriend and he knew that I would be required to report him if I found out, and he knew he had to resign. He came and told me in advance that he was quitting. This was long before even "Don't ask, don't tell".

My theory has held up far too many times in my life to be far off the mark. However, I do believe that some people do make the choice, mostly due to lack of self-esteem.

I dunno. I don’t recall ever “deciding” to be straight. I’m just real pleased that was how it turned out for me.

And again, I don’t know it for a fact, but I suspect that no gay man ever said to himself, “gee, I sure wish I was attracted to males.” It is likely that it just turned out that way.

Same for lesbians. I tend to share their view that females are usually more attractive than males. 😎

Well, as dudes - we can completely understand lesbian attractions.

Quite frankly, I do not see that it should matter, choice or no choice. It's nobody else's concern IMHO.

Why do people like different flavors of ice cream?

Because they are warped and demented I tell you. There is only one good, legitimate ice cream flavor and it is Orange Creamsickle. :SMILEW~130:

All other flavors are the work of the Devil. 👿
