I enjoy watching people do reactions online because it allows me to somewhat relive the song again myself even if I've heard it 1000 times before.

Bands such as U2 which I took for granted make todays music seem like child music. I couldn't tell you the number of Gen Z who listen to The Beatles, Bob Seager, Bon Jovi and so many others and ask "why can't we have music like this anymore"?

You need to reclaim your soul. You need a hard working, blue collar Middle Class and them and/or their kids will create. Think of Motown that was in the car manufacturing hub of the world. Gutted and soulless now.

Hence todays music has reflected this.

Wild flower by Skylark had some killer guitar.

There are enough great old tunes to last a life time! You don't need new ones.

Little willie willie wont...go home :laughing0301:

Music has always been like this. People like what they heard when they grew up, and reject the new. The same with movies.

I can't believe I forgot led zeppelin.

Start with the song BABE I'M GONNA LEAVE YOU and work your way up to cashmere...finally stairway to heaven.

When they took common sense, traditional values, time honored traditions out of American society, and I presume also Canadian society, they also took the melody out of music and the message out of lyrics.

It makes for an uninspired, mixed up, dispirited, fuzzy thinking people.

I'm hoping 12 years or more of the MAGA vision and restoration of American/Canadian values will fix it. Ya'll need to get rid of Trudeau and elect a Trump. 😁

Not entirely true. Much of the music I enjoy was before I was born or far too young to listen to music by choice.

Ditto for movies. I even watch old black and white movies, listen to Old Time Radio from the 30s and 40s.

If something is creative and good, it just is

I've never watched those reaction clips because I don't believe that they are legit. What we see of those people can't be the first time that they heard the song that is being addressed. They had to have heard the song earlier because why else would they make such a clip about the song?

To me, Mason Ramsey is who is making music great again and I can't wait for his Christmas EP this coming Friday. :) :) :)

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly (a girl who only loves him more every day)

Todays music gutted and soulless?
Here is a modern alt rock group doing one of their songs at Abbey Road.
Watch and tell me this performance is soulless.

There are a lot of good newer groups. But you won't find them on the pathetic airwaves.

I grew up on all the classic rock, which is now considered oldies. But I am always looking at new music and have found a lot of good music in the alternative genre.

I am actually tired of the oldies, because the radio plays the same few songs over and over.

I'm 34 but I like the music my parents enjoy. It was way better than the crap today. The Grass Roots are a favorite of mine.
