Can I still go back and edit posts?

It seems you've got less than an hour to edit your posts. So do like I do, type out Exactly what you want to say, with all the cussing and name calling you want, then take a breath and use the delete key copiously before you post. You'll feel better for having said it, even if only to yourself.

The cursing and the damnation are the real problems, not the language used to express such a deplorable and miserable human condition as that of Job who cursed the day of his birth in the Holy Bible.

I do not want malice in my heart and certainly don't want to spread it with my tongue. The world has enough of it with out me adding to it. Yall do what you want I can not change or control you. I can change and control me with practice.

If you are that concerned then i have only one advice. delete your account or otherwise stay away. this board is a cesspool collecting the toxic waste. it is not about discussion. or your voice counting.

I have been here a while, I know the deal. I am pretty much only on here mid Nov though Jan 1then back to the water. Good practice at maintaining control through adversity. We will see how it goes. I gotta at least chat with WinterBorn and OldLady a bit. Believe it or not I even get along with tubefreek at times especially if we keep to an outdoor discussion.

Post editing time goes from 90 minutes to 5 hours for either Silver or Gold members. For GOLD you get fewer ads served and some other neat stuff.

Another useful benefit for those of you plotting to overthrow the USMB Mod Staff -- you can INCREASE the maximum number of reciepients in any PM.. Diff numbers for Gold/Silver.

All this is MUCH better than the cheesy bumper sticker that you used to get thru mail-in donations. LOL...

Become a gold supporting member and you get several hours to clean up. The other alternative is to get a large post it note out. Using a bold Sharpie, write:
"Use non-profane adjectives and nouns that have 7 or more letters in them."
Attach it to your screen for 2 weeks to help you replace the habit of using profanity. If it doesn't work, place a second note up that says "If I can't say something positive, I shall say nothing at all."

These ideas will not keep your adversaries from using, but you will gain a huge amount of self respect by respecting others. That makes life worth living, and it's worth giving respect your best shot. I have a feeling you'll get there. Never give up!

I wanna do it myself. I am a grandfather for Christ's sakes. Time to grow up and make a better example. Other issues to clean up like seeing girls half my age, premarital sex. I have foibles . I wanna be better!

I am trying to clean up my act and cuss less. Be a better person. Experience personal growth. Every day my date with Saint Pete at the pearly gates gets closer and would like to have less to explain.

Good for you, self betterment is all important. I don't think I am that bad at cussing on the forum but I can be sharp, mean. That needs fixing too.
