In the grand scheme of things does it really matter? Those who believe the story of Noah and the Flood were actual people and actual events are not harmed by their belief.

Those who believe the story of Noah and the Flood are allegorical teaching and not intended to be taken literally are not harmed by their belief.

Why not just allow people to see these things as they do and not criticize them for it?
It is a mistake to discount such ancient accounts.

In fact, they are treasures as most of our history is lost forever.

But the Bible haters must have their fun I reckon.

But seeing a Bible story from a different perspective than somebody else is not discounting it at all. One can be deeply spiritual and have a wonderful relationship with God and take those stories in Genesis as allegorical teaching stories. And one can be deeply spiritual and have a wonderful relationship with God and believe those were actual events and people who actually lived and participated in those event.

And each can equally love the Bible stories as written.

And then there is Biblical Archeology

Again, there is enough scientific veracity historically in the Bible for it to exist

In fact, it is the only religious book that has a scientific discipline dedicated to it that I know of.

Many ancient cultures have a similar story of a great flood.

This counts as evidence in my book as a great flood actually occuring.

In fact, to even know what a flood is, one would have to experience one first.

So, the only question is, how big was it?
So, the Earth was flooded with enough water to rise 2,000 ft, 5,000 ft, 10,000 ft above the lowest Earth floor.

Cool.

Where did this excess water come from?
And
Where did this excess water go after the flood?

If you think the flood actually happened, then you should easily be able to provide the answers asked above.

Scientists learn things all the time about the earth, such as oceans of water under the Earth they just discovered.

A reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth’s surface. The finding could help explain where Earth’s seas came from.

The water is hidden inside a blue rock called ringwoodite that lies 700 kilometres underground in the mantle, the layer of hot rock between Earth’s surface and its core.

The huge size of the reservoir throws new light on the origin of Earth’s water. Some geologists think water arrived in comets as they struck the planet, but the new discovery supports an alternative idea that the oceans gradually oozed out of the interior of the early Earth.

Interestingly, in the book of Enoch it describes water being released from below the earth to create the great flood.

That is true. There has been a long going (since 2005) Tall-el-Hamman excavation project in Jordan that Biblical archaeologists are pretty confident is the ancient city of Sodom though traditional archaeologists remain skeptical about that.

If it is determined to be Sodom then we will know such a place existed. Does that mean Lot also existed? No. But it does give support to belief that he did. Does that mean his wife was turned into a pillar of salt? No. But it would almost certainly reinforce the belief of those who believe it.

It is always interesting though when the archaeology and science and geography reinforce accounts in the Bible. And it doesn't bother me at all when they don't.

Noah's Ark and the Worldwide Flood are True Stories.

Noah’s Flood or Millions of Years, It Can’t Be Both

Either the rock record is the evidence of millions of years, or it is largely the evidence of Noah’s Flood. It can’t be both. If we believe the earth is billions of years old and shows no sign of a worldwide Flood, then that belief contradicts the biblical account of Noah. If we accept God’s testimony regarding the Flood, we cannot logically believe in millions of years.
The evidence:
An allegorical account of a historical event where embellishment was used as a literary device to make commentary about their society and the consequence of good versus evil.

What do I win?

But the Bible haters must have their fun I reckon.
That's pretty much all it's ever been for them. Not to worry though that only reflects poorly on them and reveals their own insecurities in themselves. You won't see confident and secure people behaving like that. They act like the winners that they are.

You win the approval of all the Christians who can't say those words and needed you or somebody to say it for them!
Allow me to put it in a more 'to the point' way.

Noah's Ark and the worldwide flood are lies!

You have awakened to the truth. You get the dead Pope's woke sticker for bravery!

The Catholic church understands that it had to come clean finally. All the lies were closing in on then.

That's how militant atheists see it because they are threatened by it.

It's just a different way of saying the same thing as you believe, my friend.l

have the courage and the honesty to vote 'no'.

I think you are thinking about communism.
The jesus promoted communist ideals when he said to give away all your money and belongings. I've always found that too extremist for socialism and we socialists.

I have no objections to discussing income inequality here, but let's not exaggerate.

So what do you accomplish by trying to destroy the faith of believers? What do you win? What motivates people like you to do that? How does it harm you in any way whatever another person believes about the Bible? Can you justify harming others by taking away something that is important and comforting to them?

Any faith that can be destroyed by this, can't be sincere.
What motivates people like you to do that?
Ding motivated me and actually asked me many times to take it to the bullring. He's the one that has claimed the Ark and the big Flood are lies.
How does it harm you in any way whatever another person believes about the Bible?
That's a whole new topic that can be explored here! I'll start with saying that wars over religion are killing innocents in the millions. The WTC revenge attack killed thousands of Americans.
Can you justify harming others by taking away something that is important and comforting to them?
I believe there's a net gain in lives saved.

Don't forget to vote in the poll.

The poles.

It froze again.
All the frozen water isn't enough to cover Everest's ankles. Spam is not welcome here.

Joking is! It's all the world's biggest joke to say that seafood lived on Everest!
