California: State of Insurrection

  • "Stolen" Argument:
Some argue that the United States illegally seized California through military force and a treaty that was unfairly imposed on Mexico. Others argue that the United States had legitimate claims to the land based on prior American settlement and expansionist policies.

  • Native American Perspective:
It's important to acknowledge the historical and ongoing impacts on the Indigenous peoples of California, who were displaced from their lands due to the arrival of both Spanish and American settlers. The acquisition of California also involved the displacement and forced labor of Native Americans.

Ah, yes, I went to College with a Commie who thought like that. He thought California belonged to Mexico or the Native Americans, depending on who he was trying to patronize that week.

The reality is, America developed California into the place that people actually wanted to go to and live in.

Problem is… Trump isn’t deporting criminals (at least not felons) … he’s just sweeping people up
Horseshit.

Your TDS is out of control.

If an epidemic breaks out in a poor community, the germs don't distinguish between who has their papers or not.
germs come into the USofA w/out vetting , where as they would be vetted via ports of entry Joe

Bullshit. The first cases of Covid in this country were not illegal aliens. They were Americans who had travelled to China and Europe and caught it.

You are the stupidest person on this board.

Yeah, somehow, I don't think sick people are going to be able to make the trek across a desert to get here illegally. You hae to be pretty healthy to pull that one off.

The other problem is that 50% of undocumented immigrants DID come here legally and overstayed their visas, which is why collective health is necessary.

We really should have universal health care like any other civilized country.

I was a foot soldier in American healthcare for decades Joe ,many stories of those who 'fell through the cracks' , simply because they didn't have $$$

so on one hand i'll agree we don't have a system that serves all equally , OTHO i would caution anyone subscribing to a socialist system that>>>>

He is doing what he said he was going to do. That's not the problem, it's the way and zealousness that he is doing it with almost total disregard for America.
Trump isn't aggressive enough. That's a disappointment.

By all means give the invaders medical care. Take the cost out of whatever foreign aid their country gets. Once stabilized, deport them.

Again, unless you are a Native American, you came from immigrants, too.

Conservatism... the cruelty has become the point.

Cruelty IS the point. They come because the free welcome mat is out. Stop that and they will stay home or go somewhere else.

yes Joe

my ancestors came through a port of entry, and swore allegiance via our 'naturalization process' to the USofA

they further served in both WW 1 & 2

do you honestly think any of these alien protestors would sign onto that?

here ya go>>>
The naturalization process is the method by which a foreign national becomes a citizen of the United States. It generally involves several key steps, including eligibility requirements, application, interview, and an oath of allegiance.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Check Eligibility:

  • Residency:
Typically requires 5 years as a lawful permanent resident (LPR), or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen.
  • Good Moral Character:
Must demonstrate good moral character for the required period before applying.
    • English and Civics Knowledge:
Must pass tests demonstrating proficiency in English and knowledge of U.S. civics.
    • Other Requirements:
May include physical presence, continuous residence, and demonstrating attachment to the U.S. Constitution.
2. Application:
    • File Form N-400: The Application for Naturalization is the first step in the process.
    • Gather Documents: Collect necessary evidence to support the application, including proof of residency, identity, and other relevant information.
    • Pay Fees: Submit the required fees for processing the application.
3. Biometrics Appointment:

    • Fingerprinting, Photograph, Signature: This appointment is scheduled to collect biometric information.
4. Interview and Test:
5. Oath of Allegiance:
    • Final Step:
After approval, the final step is to take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States.
    • Receive Certificate of Citizenship:
Upon taking the oath, the applicant receives their Certificate of Naturalization.

When it was a lot easier to get into the country.

It's kind of like saying you don't want a cure to cancer because you beat cancer on your own.
You cite the difficulty of our citizenship process as justification for breaking our immigration laws.

That's lame, even for you.

Uh, guy, you make anything too difficult, people are just going to ignore it.

Here's the reality of our immigration.

We need immigrants.

We make it ridiculously hard for immigrants to get here, legally.

We need immigrants, yes, but we need them to immigrate legally.

It's not hard to grasp. Our citizenship and naturalization process is difficult for a reason.

You like to call me lazy, but you're advocating that these people take the laziest route possible. Now they're fugitives from the law. Smooth move, slick.

Well, you are lazy, but that's another discussion.

Immigrants, not so much. They bust their asses. It's why so many employers would prefer an immigrant to someone born here.

As someone who is helping his spouse navigate the ridiculous immigration system, (We've spent $5000 so far and have had to submit 200 pages of documentation), the system is broken. Has been broken for years.

Even Dubya admitted it was broken when he got behind the McCain-Kennedy bill to fix it. But this wasn't good enough for the Nativists.

No immigrant who comes here illegally should be granted any rewards. Anyone who does should be punished.

You're totally against the rules when it benefits you. You only want slaves, not immigrants.

Yes, slaves. Because that's what the left sees them as. Slavery, in Democratic DNA since 1828.

Oh, guy, when you use silly rhetoric like this, it makes me question what little intelligence I think you have.

Slaves don't come here voluntarily.

And if you were really concerned about them being exploited, you'd be all for giving them amnesty, something so reasonable even Ronald Reagan did it.
