I will not leave this great state as there are no other states that are livable in my opinion. Now europe or mexico would be far better than say georgia.

Fact is you have hydro power offline is because you haven’t been adding reservoirs so all of the water has been drained from the few existing. And the one dam is being repaired because you can’t maintain dams and they break.
And as a bonus you close all your nuke plants, the only green reliable energy on earth.

LNG or Propane gas also makes an excellent non-toxic non-polluting refrigerant, if adequate fire safety can be achieved, because of course it is flammable.

There is plenty of natural gas in the United States. We aren't just the Saudi Arabia of natural gas, we are the middle east of natural gas.

And Europe had to start using coal recently because of such cold weather this winter and this spring. Germany has closed most of its nuclear power plants and the newer ones are scheduled to be shut by 2022.

We have ten times as much coal as oil or gas, so unless we come up with something big, like fusion or bio fuel, then coal it will be for the next 500 years.
Solar and wind won't work unless we find a means of storage.

People do not get a choice if they are Black, Asian, Native American, etc., but California is different not only because it was wrong for so many people to deliberately move there in the 1950s and later, but also because California stole a lot of resource from other states, like water, electricity, etc.
California is not a viable location for that many people.
People should have known that before going there.
