On the other side of that coin that you disagree with is the actions of the WA supreme court. Spokane has been inundated with homeless for years because of liberal actions of their city council. The citizens finally pushed back and enacted an anti-camping ordinance that prohibited camping on public streets and parks. The liberal supreme court invalidated the ordinance. SMH. Give them all the fentanyl they want.

Washington, Oregon, California, and B.C. are the most desirable locations for homeless people to live on the streets.
It's the same reason the wealthy choose those locations in the west.

The people there are also more socially responsible in understanding that charities need to carry the weight.

Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris, a Republican, made the comments during a city council meeting on Feb. 25 when a resident questioned him about the city’s plan to address the homeless crisis by "enclosing" the homeless population in a single encampment in an abandoned golf course near a residential neighborhood.

"What I want to do is give them free fentanyl. That’s what I want to do," Parris responded.

"I want to give them all the fentanyl they want," he reiterated.

For a serious response, the issue is the people who want to deal with this situation have decided to remove the two required motivators to get people to want to fix themselves.

Force and Shame.


Some people simply can subsist indefinitely given the support to them by the so called advocates. Just enough not to die, but not enough to either fix them or feed their habit. Thus the petty thefts turning into harder crimes, as well as the squalor often found.

Until people realize that these people need to be forced to clean up, then the "Hotel California" Solution may be needed.

Stop spending government money and making life unaffordable for people. This is the same as Ontario is dealing with and it's going to get worse. We have a centralized system of cops, banks and corruption.

Some will benefit from social assistance in Canada, as well as some other government programs to help the homeless. They become Canada's responsibility when in Canada.
