Well, it depends on where you live and how much traffic you have as well as the wildlife. I would NEVER let my cat out here as too much traffic and we have coyotes.

Mean cats? The cat has not been born mean enough. I'm a lot bigger and meaner; the cat either submits to my authority or he is one dead *****, end of discussion. The cat can worry about kicking other cat and dog ass out there to get his jollies but when I call, that cat better listen.

That said, I've never met the cat which could not be dealt with simple clipping of the claws, I never saw where declawing was necessary. Declawing is cruel, it would be like someone cutting off your fingers.

You're ignorant. I live in BRIGHT BLUE WA. where the focus is on making the ESA permanent and they make livestock owners criminals by restricting their abilities to protect their enterprises. Strange how 50 miles away in conservative ID, clearer minds prevail and these ranchers are allowed to manage the threat.
