I think that they're both pretty smart. Although cats are smart enough to do only what they want to whenever they want to. Even if you train them they're in it for the treat, not to please you.

We have been battling feral cats for yrs.

Targets.

One winter I trapped and transported out of the neighborhood 40 cats.

Weighted gunny sacks in the bottom of a canal works well too.

No kidding, cats wandering our properties, spraying pissing their horrendous scent everywhere.

Pet owners in cities seem like terrible people. There is a dog park that stinks like dog crap near my home, terrible.

One of these capture-neuter-return folks moved in next to my former residence and I have never made a secret of my stance. She informed me that "we will go round and round if I catch you shooting cats." I just looked at her said, "Do what you gotta do." I took out a number of feral cats and trapped a bundle more. I don't have to be held hostage to the simple pleasures of irresponsible pet owners. Keep your pets at home and enjoy them to your hearts desire. It is the height of arrogance to think you can force your neighbors to tolerate these pets on their own property.

I was just going to say to each their own, but I would never harm a cat myself unless they were attacking me or a friend or family member. Other pets included.

Now the poor owners of mean cats have to take their mean cats out of state to get them declawed.

Those who can't afford the travel expenses will just have to wear dark clothes to hide the blood stains.

Any one who has a cat declawed should have the first digit of each of their fingers amputated on both of their hands - because that what they actually did to the cat
