I was never a Coach watcher, but my mom loved it and Luther was her favorite.

Didn't watch Coach, but I do remember him from My Mother the Car. That he was in it is about all I remember about the show which I've come to see as a failed knock-off of Mr. Ed, it was a train wreck of not his doing. I'll have to read his mini-biography at imdb.com sometime this week. Once read (ages ago) that he was a candidate for Gilligan in Gilligan's Island, think he would have been swell in that.
