I think you are onto somethingThink for a minute....how much better off China would be if they suddenly cut their population in half.
I mean.....it has to be a topic of discussion somewhere inside the CCP machinery.
A Paper Tiger Made out of Scrap PaperYes, we allowed Japan to grow at our expense
first it was transistor radios, then motorcycles and TV sets. And then automobiles
you’d think we would learn, huh?
but at least the japanese were friends and allies who were not threatening to kill us
But china is a national threat
Because Educated Idiots Are Never Blamed, the Epitaph of the American Economy Will Be "To Get a Good Job, Get a Good Education"I thought the Trump administration took care of the drugs and medical supplies made in China a year and a half ago when we came across the covid supply issuez? Are you saying they didn't?
Buying Chinese is and was a Republican quest, from the very beginning.... It was democrats and labor unions that fought it, all the way....
The GOP blamed the unions for insisting on good pay and benefits for their skills, as to why you opened up China so businesses could leave the USA for cheap labor in China.... Your gop guys benefited by millions of donations from Wal-Mart/Waltons...
Now, after 40 years of it, and all the manufacturers left a couple of decades ago, you want to reverse your republican stance and be against it???
Well, I guess it's better late, than never...maybe.
"most lucrative marketplace" - code name for slave laborNo, China is already pretty close to the US on quality of life for it's people.
Canada ranked #1 country in the world for Quality of Life | News
For the fifth year in a row, Canada is ranked the #1 country in the world in 2020 for Quality of Life, according to a global ranking from US News.dailyhive.com
Cheaper or inferior products or not, it's America's staple they buy up at walmart.
American corporations flooded to China to take advantage of the most lucrative marketplace.
A 'socially' responsible government would have controlled some of that for the benefit of the American people. But that would have been 'socialist' or 'communist' influence in America's capitalism.
Don't worry, the very wealthy in America are still in control!
Scrape Away the RustHonestly, we have no national will left.
That would require the Grand Canyon sized division to close and the left/right come together.
It would take something 5 times larger than 9/11 to make that happen...and probably not even then
Capitalism will always seek out the most lucrative market and marketplace, and will pay the lowest wages it can get away with. That's capitalism!"most lucrative marketplace" - code name for slave labor
Yet China's 'quality of life' ranks within 4 places of America's.More shit in your head.
China makes it cheaper through slave labor, no regards for environmental impact and therefore assume no cost that is associated in doing so and by using cheaper-inferior materials.
Half of Americans most certainly don't think the virus is phony, rather it was leaked from China due to their lack of safety protocols that killed millions as a result of it
"Margaret Got Me So Excited That I Came When I Was JUST IN!"No, China is already pretty close to the US on quality of life for it's people.

The video speaks for itself
my comment is that since the 1990s US politics has been dominated by the Baby Boom generation
and it could very well be the most incompetent generation in American history
There is huge strength in China's communist system that is backed by an appreciative people.Dont bet on it
they are a much more serious threat than the Soviets
and with a stronger dictatorship
If Trudeau would be a nothing, as you suggest, then you would be pointing out the greatest inefficiency is democratic systems."Margaret Got Me So Excited That I Came When I Was JUST IN!"
What would Howdy Trudy be if his Daddy hadn't been Prime Minister? A nobody. The same goes for our hereditary plutocracy. Talent can't be inherited, so power should not be allowed to be inherited. Because our Capitalists are inferior people in superior positions, they can't increase their unearned inherited wealth except by cheating.
Simply not true that capitalism always chooses cheapest market.Capitalism will always seek out the most lucrative market and marketplace, and will pay the lowest wages it can get away with. That's capitalism!
Capitalist countries such as Canada put the brakes on unfettered capitalism by ensuring 'social' controls that take into account the needs of the country's people.
Call that socialism or even communism!
You would be technically correct!
But call Canada a socialist or communist country and you would be wrong!
If Americans can't grasp that easy concept, then they will just need to be re-educated.
Call America a capitalist country that is verging on fascism and you would be grasping the facts.
Fascism is born out of extremist and failed capitalism.
Capitalism isn't concerned with anything other than making the highest profit. Greed is good, as Milton Friedman clearly stated.Simply not true that capitalism always chooses cheapest market.
That is greed, a personality fault of humanity.
Some capitalist will choose that, others do not.
Capitalism is simply someone making a product, and selling that product. He/she may feel strongly about the product being superior. You see this all over the place, but only in small businesses. That is a free market. That is capitalism.
Corporatism is a group of more greedy folks realizing they can own the market by joining together, take advantage of the synergies gained by doing so, and once they dominate - they cheapen the product/lower the service level and raise the price. That is corporatism.
In order for that to work, corporatism needs government collusion/corruption. And we have that in spades here.
Capitalism isn't concerned with anything other than making the highest profit. Greed is good, as Milton Friedman clearly stated.
There can be social modifications to capitalism.
But you can't make a true capitalist into a 'socialist' as you're attempting to do by suggesting a 'social' conscience.
In fact it's illegal for a corporation's board of directors to even consider a 'social' responsibility. They must strictly limit themselves to making the highest profit.
Trump didn't give a damn about what I thought or anyone else for that matter. Your just making excuses as udual. If trump had changed US trade policy over the objections of libs like you it would have affected him along with everyone else
Trump was the only one addressing the China problem.imo Trump's major Jina trade mistake was not really addressing how hard it would be for companies to find alternative sites to Jina
But the reality is anyone would go broke trying to move mftring from emerging markets to the US
