The pandemic can end when we say it ends.

In an era of little good news, this is it here. If you're unafraid, it's imperative now to live unafraid. The pandemic will end when the unafraid stand up and refuse to cooperate with the Fear Brigade.

In my area, at any rate, this is definitely happening. We are done.

When will the Covid-19 pandemic end? And how?

According to historians, pandemics typically have two types of endings: the medical, which occurs when the incidence and death rates plummet, and the social, when the epidemic of fear about the disease wanes.

“When people ask, ‘When will this end?,’ they are asking about the social ending,” said Dr. Jeremy Greene, a historian of medicine at Johns Hopkins.

In other words, an end can occur not because a disease has been vanquished but because people grow tired of panic mode and learn to live with a disease.

Generating fear and anger are things the government and media will always generate though.

Media needs viewers to satisfy advertisers so they keep getting ad revenue coming in. Viewers and readers are what make them money. With so many thousands of ways to get news now media outlets are more desperate than ever to retain viewers. Fear and anger keeps people coming back, no one watches the news to feel good.

Government uses fear and anger to control people. It keeps people from focusing on what they do no one likes, it makes people compliant and more ready to agree and obey, it also helps people stay where they should stay.

People as individuals know this and are smart, but as a group people are incredibly dumb.

Fear will always be on the menu in some form of another, covid is the proverbial gold mine right now for it.

It ends when the federal funds are cut off to those who are working dang hard on keeping it going. Or when the fascist think they have enough dead or if enough of them are gone. As long as there is money in it they will continue to push it via any means possible.
