Bush got Congressional approval before invading Afghanistan and Iraq

Even Maduro didn’t attack his own Congress
He already killed the ones that he didn't like. And Trump attacked no one over the now proven stolen election.

I wonder how many of your democrats are going to be found on Maduros payroll.

What do you think should happen to them?

Why didn’t Trump?

Was it because he feared Congress would say no?

Why didn't Barry Hussein, Trollwinger?

Doesn’t matter

Charges against Maduro will never stick

Maduro acted as President of Venezuela.
Anything he did was an “Official Act” and he is immune from prosecution

Didn’t work for Noreaga, won’t fly here either.

You don’t understand

Presidents are given wide latitude on what they can do as an “official act”

Are you now saying a President should be liable for what they do while President?

2 reasons….

1. This wasn’t an invasion, it was a law enforcement operation.

2. He doesn’t have to, and plenty of precedent backs him up.

/thread.
Law enforcement acts don’t take over countries
They arrest their suspect and then leave

Like Noriega.

Following his capture Noriega was transferred to a cell in the Miami federal courthouse, where he was arraigned on the ten charges which the Miami grand jury had returned two years earlier.[164] The trial was delayed until September 1991 over whether Noriega could be tried after his detention as a prisoner of war, the admissibility of evidence and witnesses, and how to pay for Noriega's legal defense.[165] The trial ended in April 1992, when Noriega was convicted on eight of the ten charges of drug trafficking, racketeering, and money laundering.[166] On July 10, 1992, Noriega was sentenced to 40 years in prison.[167]

All Maduro has to say is how great of a guy Trump is and he will get a pardon.

That was 1991

Since then the Supreme Court has ruled that a sitting President is immune for official acts.
You can’t arrest a sitting President, you must impeach him first.

How does Trump apply laws to Maduro that don’t apply to him?

Maybe a nice gift or name something for Trump.
A Venezuelan Peace Prize?

Which of Maduro's crimes wouldn't apply to Trump?
