Bush got Congressional approval before invading Afghanistan and Iraq

Why didn’t Trump?

Was it because he feared Congress would say no?
No, congress would have warned their ally Maduro of the impending attack, so those traitors absolutely had to be kept out of the loop.

Just imagine how much Intel we are getting from Maduro's place right now. We will know who his minions were by those that flee to non extradition countries.

This was a DOJ operation supported by the military. Since he wouldn't leave or surrender, the U.S had no choice but to bring him to the U.S courts to face justice.

He will receive far better treatment than if Venezuela had the military means. I know what it's like to be persecuted by a central system of unaccountable criminals, it's far worse in Venezuela.

He couldn't or wouldn't give up his luxury. Go look up the history of the fate of Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife when their fate was left in the hands of the Romanians. What do you think Maduros fate would have been if left in the hands of the people whose election he stole and for whom he kept poor and destitute?

If he keeps the military action down to 60 days, he does not have to. Simple as that, plus strikes of this nature, to be effective, must remain secret and congress is full of big mouths.
This was actually so well done, I am surprised Hegseth didn't leak it with his commercial software use, or maybe the editor was busy checking out at the grocery and did not pickup the invitation, this time.

Re AFG: Bush secured the AUMF against anyone who committed the attacks on 9/11. It didn't name any country by name. Gave the ability to go anywhere down any rabbit hole it took.

Re IRQ: Congress approved a resolution because the cause of action was failure of Iraq to abide by UN sanctions.

Re Maduro: It was effectuating an arrest warrant for narco-terrorism.

Congress has been kicking the can down the alley for a long time. They have seeded power to the executive branch for a long time now. They do it say they can't be blamed and lose their seats. Maybe this forces them to do their job for a change.

It was probably because he knew the Democrats would warn their Communist allies.
"The legality of the U.S. operation was immediately questioned by Democrats. Rep. Jim Himes of Connecticut, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said he had seen no evidence justifying military action without approval from Congress and warned of the risk of instability in Venezuela."

No one invaded Venezuela.

There were surgical airstrikes followed by the successful execution of multiple arrest warrants for someone wanted by the US govt. who was legally extradited.

You live in fantasy land.

If it happened to us, would we consider it an invasion and act of war?

Of course we would so it's an invasion and an act of war.

Maybe we can find Iraq's WMD in Venezuela?
You will definitely find enough poisons in Latin America, Central and South America to kill all of life on earth.

Whether by bullet, missile or poison, there has been continued acts of war against America funded by Americas enemies.
