I do. Apparently, you do not. If Trump uses existing Trade law, laws that have passed Constitutional muster, then he is doing the right thing, yet again. The world cannot be permitted to continue to rip the US off.So.........you don't understand how our government is supposed to work.
Now, if Congress wishes to try and repeal the existing trade laws in which THEY granted the Executive the power to dreal with trade around the world, then good luck with that.
1. It won't even get a vote before the midterms and won't matter after the midterms, regardless of the outcome of the vote.
2. Congress does not have a veto-proof majority and won't have one come next year either.
So, it is beyond safe to say that initiating the exact same tariffs as existed uner the IEEEPA will exist under other trade authorities.
